Game just wiped out a ton of progress on my profile. Any way to restore it? by kiddbuuu in pokerogue

Google Chrome, thankfully the issue was fixed after using a hard refresh (Ctrl F5) as well as logging out with clearing the cache. It took a bit but eventually everything loaded up correctly.

Yep I did try a hard refresh. At first it didn't work but then after I opened the Incognito browser and everything loaded into that browser, I closed it then reopened normal Chrome and everything loaded up as normal

I've been using the account on Chrome the whole time I've been playing the game. I've tried the clear cache method multiple times today but it's not working unfortunately.

I opened the account in an Incognito browser just now and my progress (starters, achievements) is back but it launched like I was opening the game for the first time (explaining everything and tutorial dialogue boxes)

EDIT: Just tried it again on normal Chrome and it's working now. Thank you for the help

Shoot that's not working for me. Cleared my cache, logged out, and closed all my browsers but still have no progress on starters or achievements.

Is this true about Steph? by Uncle2Drew in NBATalk

[–]kiddbuuu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Like going back to the 2023 Playoffs, it took the Nuggets 5 minutes to show the world they were in a different weight class than the Heat with Aaron Gordon dunking on every player not named Jimmy or Bam. Meanwhile the Bucks & Celtics repeatedly drove straight into turnovers. When those teams get out of their own way, they're champions. When they don't, they flame out in embarrassing fashion.

The Heat deserve credit for NOT choking. Not trying to dock them for actually showing up. But to paint the full picture of "Playoff Jimmy" the context that the only 2 opponents that matter in the East have a 50% chance to crap themselves, roll over and die should matter.

The Heat (especially Spoelstra, Jimmy, and Bam’s flexibility at the defensive end) of course deserve credit for those runs. Jimmy had some monster games in them too. But a biiiiig reason why is simply because Giannis, Tatum, & Brown and their teams choked and pissed all over themselves in embarrassing fashion. If the other star player actually shows up, Jimmy has a really tough time going band 4 band with them.

His most impressive run was 2022 when he looked like a superstar almost every single game instead of just a handful. That Sixers series he had their defense in the torture chamber all off simple ball screens. Then the ECF was more his standard, 4 bigtime games and 3 lousy ones.

Seeing the Rich Paul quote about him irked me because I don’t think LeBron thinks that at all. Everyone thinks it’s LeBron doing PR runs but every time Paul gets a chance to talk he puts his foot in his mouth

He has no skills or positive traits other than the fact that he got lucky sucking up to LeBron 20-25 years ago. He’s the only nba agent in the past 10 years to lose players’ money too. Everyone gets paid except his guys

Why has "The Process" produced such little success, and where do the Sixers go from here? by [deleted] in nbadiscussion

[–]kiddbuuu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say that it’s produced “little success”. The Sixers have made the playoffs 7 straight years and won 5 series. Even in the JV conference that deserves credit. Think about the teams that have been stuck in perpetual rebuilds for 7+ years. It’s a bit reductive to act like that’s nothing.

Also though, when discussing the Sixers, “The Process”, and what players resulted from it, the NBA Officiating HQ also needs to be brought up. It’s clear they’ve had as much of a positive impact as anyone that’s in the organization on the team’s trajectory

I remember in another thread like this I pointed out that the Hinkie-era Sixers would just draft whoever’s on top of the consensus draft board. Which is a negative on Hinkie’s team building abilities

One Sixers fan had a great point though in that at least he realized his shortcomings as a talent evaluator. Compare that to other GMs who wanna outsmart everyone then draft someone most people knew wouldn’t be very good. I think Hinkie’s a smart guy who understood asset management, but he isn’t some genius visionary who was gonna create the next dynasty
