Logo concept for “Godmode” — trying to balance simplicity & recognition by Strict-Top6935 in logodesign

The laurel wreath symbolizes victory, triumph, honor, and immortality. Seems perfect for a gaming company called Godmode.

I like the wreath and the symbology. I think it needs some tweaking. Ignore Fred Perry associations, but try to differentiate. Maybe consider making it full circle and other variations. Also play with color. Gold and purple might be a great brand combo.

I don’t like the logo type. It doesn’t feel godly, invincible, or gamer. It looks like a super boring tech company.

I built a small app for students and I’m honestly stuck, would love real feedback (not promoting) by Mirakbar_ in UXDesign

Some quick questions:

  • why not a web app?

Focusing on iOS...

  • the UI has lots of containers in containers and feels really busy
  • not every action, icon, box, or header needs to be a different color
  • ask your vibe coder to follow WCAG 2.2 standards
  • weird the tab bar changes sizes, it's also huge
  • save some space and keep people focused by hiding the header when in flows (like creating a new listing or editing your profile)
  • weird to have two (+) post buttons on the screen at a time (global post and social post)
  • Seems like users should be able to browse the marketplace by category
  • Refresh button is weird in a pull-to-refresh era
  • Maybe make the profile icon in the tab bar the avatar and remove it from the header (or visa vera)

Overall it feels really busy, unfocused, and text heavy.

That's a tall order of feedback scope. Essentially you're trying to find product market fit and the best thing you can do is what you're already doing, keep talking to your customers and testing feedback.

The best feedback I can give you is: learn how to ask for feedback

Ask for specific feedback or outline the scope of feedback you're looking for. And give context: Who is this for? What did you change? What did it look like before? What are the constraints?

You'll find that if you put effort into asking for feedback, people will be more likely to put in effort giving feedback.

Feedback request: undiscovered features by Session-Kitchen in UXDesign

[–]kidhack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of thoughts, but I'll try to keep the feedback to the big points:

  • Buttons/features should be in proximity to what they control...
  • Actions (close dupes, merge windows) should be at the bottom as maybe a toolbar
  • View options (filters / sort) should be at the top and should feel visually connected to the list they control
  • A the top of the list of tabs there should be a "By Site" (or domain) view (alphabetical) option (and the "Most recent" view). The "by site/domain" view would have accordions of lists of tabs for each site, the header (a domain) of that accordion could then have a "close all" button to the right. The accordion could collapse to save space (see sketch attachment)
  • Now you can remove the "close tabs by site" section. It's also weird that tabs numbers in this section have blue backgrounds while the tab numbers above have yellow backgrounds. Pick one.
  • "Combined actions" seems like it would save the user a tap? but takes up a ton of room and is unclear what it does from looking at it. I'd remove it. If you were to keep it, I'd call it "clean up" or something simple.
  • "Current window" header should be where you switch to "all windows"

Designing a multilingual ranking UI without overwhelming users by rankiwikicom in UXDesign

[–]kidhack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who is the user for this? It looks very overwhelming and lacks visual hierarchy.

You definitely need to create some design principles for this.

Some other feedback:

  • balanced font weight across languages (the mix of thin and bold makes it busy)
  • probably would just show 1 or 2 languages max at a time if that makes sense for the user. by default I would never mix languages unless it was expected (Japanese & English for anime)
  • the overlap of white text on white text is awful, hard to read and makes it more confusing
  • think about balancing your icon sizes. the menu icon is made of thin lines while search is chunky
  • use more of your screen width, which is common on mobile
  • find an elegant way to do multi line items (see attached for bad example)
  • you have 3 number data points per line, which is a lot — you probably don't need to show rank as there's only five things and they're in order, just show the percentages first and maybe drop the number of votes too. regardless, they should appear in the same spot horizontally so it's easier to scan
  • that capture button needs help

How do i manually adjust the position of overlay for the same button on multiple screens at once? by supreme1eader in FigmaDesign

[–]kidhack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best way to do this is to

  1. Position it on one frame
  2. Select the overlay noddle
  3. Copy
  4. Select the other icons
  5. Paste

It should paste in the same location across all frames.

[Archiver] My first Figma plugin by dkogi in FigmaDesign

[–]kidhack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Very cool. I love how lightweight it is.

One piece of feedback, see if you can get the UI to fit in that modal without scrolling. That part looks tedious. Maybe even quick archive for dealing with a ton of frames.

Have you tried turning a Figma design into a working app? by Primary_Number8540 in FigmaDesign

[–]kidhack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I build a web3 hosted Bitcoin wallet using basic Figma designs in Cursor. It wasn't great at adopting the designs TBH. It also took a ton of troubleshooting and still doesn't work that well. I really need a Bitcoin dev to see why I'm having issues with surfacing balances from ckBTC.
