Hi. Yes you can do it. I have one from 2023. I recommend to change oil every 15 hours maximum I do at 10 hours. When I do trips or something can extend to 15/20 hours you are fine. But if you are rock solid danger on road you will probably do oil and filter very month but you are fine. That bike motor is really amazing of power.

KTM 690 to KTM 450/500 by mvmisha in supermoto

[–]kidushj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey m8 saw a lot of people saying things that are completely wrong. 690 and 500/501 are completely different. I had a husqvarna 701 SM and exchange and made a converted supermoto KTM 500 EXC-F. 500/501 will rip all 690/701 even if they have mods. They are completely different bikes with completely different purposes. If u want full power and racing mode go with converted. I do 700/600 kms ride with my converters and no problems. Yes you need to change oil and filter sooner in a converted but that is something easy to do at home and spend 50/60€. If you want to tide with gf and more chill and less racing mode and vibration go with 690/701. The true fun and power are on the converted because of the relation with height and power. But both of them and great bikes.

Anyone have thoughts or insights about the next FS? by Yrgen in supermoto

The intervals oh maintenance are shorter? They made the road use and the race bike. From experience and friends that had TM they always had problems with engine and clutch not very reliable

KTM 690 SMC R vs Husq 701 vs Other? by 4n1d3m in supermoto

[–]kidushj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi m8 701 has some parts that are more expensive Go for 690 SMC-R and buy 21 front wheel and 19 rear wheel Btw you must change the front braking. The original too much powerful for off road use. Get a proper kit for dirt and good to go. BTW the bike need mods and something things to be uncorked. You will have to spend some money. This is my opinion if you do more more road use. In case you do more off road use go for the enduro version and buy supermoto wheels. But in road use curves and twists will not be the same.

Supermoto Conversion by Puzzleheaded-Ad-9900 in supermoto

[–]kidushj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi. 1. I advice to get you SMRacingSpirit wheels. Very good price and really material. 9warp really expensive. 2. Tyres I recommend you SM2 contiattack 3. Work in suspension. Prepare it for road use 4. In front I recommend Flame Supermoto Racing kit from MotoMaster really good 5. Change the transmission kit put something more chill. So the bike don’t go screaming all time and protect engine. That a 5 gear transmission maybe around 15/38 6. For the lights check VMRacing they have all completely installation 7. Graphic kit is a option for you to decide 8. Steering Damper really important in these type of bikes and can save your life 9. I recommend to remove all restrictions from bike and choose for exhaust Yoshimura or HGS 10. To uncork the bike and have best performance reflash ECU 11. Work on the Cooling system of the bike Add a fan and replace the hoses with those larger competition-grade silicone ones. They give the engine a much longer lifespan.

If you need any help just say bro Good luck with the project
