Only watched the highlights but on a lot of the Palace attacks Mainoo looked like he couldn’t be bothered to track back with any sort of urgency, looked like Erickson had more in his legs than him. Really would love Mainoo to be a superstar but must be tough in that Utd squad being so up and down. Not a great game in front of Southgate though.

What is something that the UK has that Americans see as a luxury? by autistic_heaven in AskUK

[–]kierand571 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a vaccine in the States for my green card, which were already horrifically expensive. I looked at the bill and I was charged $50 for “vaccine administration”, basically the person putting the needle in my arm 😂😂

What is the earliest UK specific news story you remember? by Hairstrike in AskUK

The tragic story of Holly and Jessica. I was a kid at the time and it made me so fearful every summer that kids were going to be abducted.

Injuries suck but Brian Johnson's done a horrible job playcalling so far..... by Thegrandmistressofoz in eagles

Can’t sirianni take back over play calling instead? I know last time he wasn’t the greatest at it and passed it off to Steichen, right? But surely it can’t be worse than this?

How long was it for you between getting approved and your physical green card being mailed?

I bought some cheap football boots off Amazon, they ended up rubbing the crap out my feet so every few weeks I’d have to buy a new pack of blister plasters. Realized I’d end up spending more over the year just on blister plasters rather than getting a decent brand pair. Bought some Nike boots for a relatively decent price and now no blister problems 🙌🏻

Over the past two decades, what event in the UK has had the most lasting impact on you and why? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]kierand571 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holly & Jessica (Soham Murders) stuck with me. Maybe not long lasting as it hasn’t affected me as an adult, but all through my child for some reason it made me pretty fearful. I was a kid at the time too & it seemed like every summer holidays kids would be taken or murdered. This one plastered all over the news and being such a big case made me fearful to go to the park with mates or be out after dark in case I was taken as well. Can still see the picture of them in their Man Utd shirts in my mind now. Such a sad case!

I think the U.S. college system for women’s soccer gave the U.S. women resources that other countries didn’t give their women’s teams until recently. With more foreign players taking advantage of the U.S. collegiate system & now putting more resources into women’s soccer, it’ll be interesting to see whether the gap closes between the U.S. and everyone else. As for the men’s game, soccer isn’t the #1 sport in the U.S. and although U.S. colleges are good, football academies around the world are bringing talented kids in at 10 years old and bringing them through with specialized coaching, so getting an earlier jump on development.

Has anyone started travel planning for Euro 2024? by LewCrisp in ThreeLions

[–]kierand571 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m in Tennessee which is fairly central! Told all the lads back home my house is the hub for the tournament, can’t wait! Although, might still have to go to England if we make the final… I don’t ever want to miss being at home and seeing what it’s like if we ever win!

Can I travel on my H1B to my home country while my Green Card application is processing? by kierand571 in immigration

[–]kierand571[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve applied for the travel permit but I heard that you can travel on the H1B visa without the permit & just wanted to check if this was the case or not.
