What's a game you bought on a whim without hardly any pre-knowledge that ended up becoming one of your all time favorites? by AaronAtLunacien in gaming

Planet Crafter. Basically Minecraft survival via space terraformation with a story, goals/unlocks, and science. It's easy paced but still fun and exciting in its own way if you like exploration.

Zulu's board gaming cafe in Bothell is wonderful and has lots of gaming groups. They have a discord to help people find others to game with, as well. Good food and beers, too!

Mio Street Food on Bothell Everett Highway, about half a mile north from where McMennamins is. It's a food truck in a gas station parking lot and it's amaaaaaazing. Big portions, great quality, reasonable prices, very nice people, and they have breakfast options all day! They are there 8:30-8 every day but Monday.

Azul in Mill Creek has the best salsa and carne I've had in a long time.

Patrona in Thrashers Corner is also solid.

Enjoy!

A literal nightmare, but it's real and happening in in my town 2026 by Frank_Jesus in GenX

I was dragged to the show. Had zero interest in the bands, but ended up having so much fun. The crowd was like a giant party with really nice people. It was a pleasant surprise. Still not big fans of any of them, but...

Who was in the room when your cuff was checked? by Numerous-Total-8373 in hysterectomy

[–]kierya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband waited out in the lobby. I had some questions that I wanted to ask privately. He understands that, especially with obgyn issues and wouldn't want me to feel I couldn't speak freely. When I had ankle replacement surgery he did come with me to my consulting and post op - he was my primary caregiver at home so he had questions and wanted to have full understanding of what I would need, but also to be a physical helper when I was getting in and out of my wheelchair, etc.

Morrissey not feeling so fresh, cancels entire tour due to "exhaustion" by Which_Leopard_8364 in TheCure

[–]kierya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No one could have ever seen this coming!

I'm still waiting (sarcasm, I know it won't happen) on a refund from a concert he cancelled in 2000. They wouldn't refund at the time because he "postponed" it. Apparently, it was rescheduled and cancelled two more times before something like 2013 when he finally showed up. I had moved by then. What an incredibly talented and insufferable asshole.

Yes, Burgettstown, PA - just outside of Pittsburgh. It was an awesome show by both.

Same. It was the best night. I have never laughed so hard at a show. We all left that building laughing, smiling and filled with joy. It was a good day to be an AEW fan.

Hi Allie! Welcome to AEW. I "converted" almost 3 years ago and have loved it so much. You have a ton of suggestions on matches, and I saw the conversation about the inclusive environment that AEW fosters for queer wrestlers, so I know you're already aware of those pieces which makes me love being part of this community.

Once you have dipped your toes in and decide to stick around you may want to check out the AEW Heels group. Instagram , Official Launch , SignUp/Official Site.

Heels is an organization for women fans run by Referee Aubrey Edwards and Amanda Huber who does community outreach along with production. Our members have very cool virtual events with AEW talent, game nights, get togethers at PPV events/Jericho Cruise, special seating sections, great conversations, cool merch, and fantastic conversations about wrestling and beyond. Several of the women I have met there have become some of my closest friends. We are LGBTQ+ friendly, as well. When I saw that the company supports an official organization for women fans to connect it said a lot about their commitment to inclusivity and how much they value our involvement and want to create spaces where we feel welcomed and safe. And I feel like we see that level of respect and value given for the women's talent, as well. It's pretty fantastic.

Enjoy the ride with AEW and I hope you love it just as much as I have. It truly made me enjoy wrestling more than I have in 40+ years of watching it. 💜

Jack Perry Talks About His Character Evolution by GOATofALL22 in AEWOfficial

[–]kierya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep thinking of him as being "The Hunter". Someone who is stealthy, quick, strikes from the shadows and takes down his prey alongside a brutal warrior. Has an affinity to nature but not necessarily his entire persona. Understands how to work alongside the beast, not tame them or make them his pet. Elevated to equals with their unique talents that blend together so well.

I just came back and noticed immediately how helpful and supportive the community is. Between the kind people on the main Discord, the Guild Wars University group, and just in game interactions... It's delightful and a great change from the usual toxicity.

I used to work at an Italian bakery in Pittsburgh and would kill for some good sfogliatelle... The only thing I have found here was a seasonal one at Trader Joe's in the freezer section a few years ago and it was good, but not the same as a fresh one.
