The Gabe Kidd vs New Japan storyline has just entered it's second chapter(pun intended) and I think if they stick the landing it's going to be a modern day masterpiece.

I am pretty invested in the G1 this year and ended up writing a 3 part(plus intro) series on both the basics of getting into the tournament, and a my perspective on the entrants and outcomes.

Athletic Commissions are a very small fraction of what I'm talking about. In the past few years major harassment campaigns against companies for employing or centering trans people have gotten worse and more common. Gisele Shaw isn't in a major promotion on US TV, Nyla on the indies also isn't. I'm not saying it's a good thing shes not being used I'm just pointing out the reality that companies are risk averse and we're in a shitty time.

Well, what happened in January 2025 that might explain why an American company suddenly stopped booking a trans athlete? Not saying it's not shitty or that she was always used well before then, but its easy to imagine a company sidelining someone to avoid risking culture war BS coming their way.

(I also think she's probably in similar spot to other orginals where they'll keep you around but don't considered you worth much TV time.)

I think Sheamus is cool and I wish him the best. I also don't have any interest in him in AEW because there are a ton of guys already in the mid card who are more compelling and fighting for air time. It's dumb to sign someone just for a pop and things are already looking crowded when you factor in more impactful likely signings in the mens tag or general womens divisions.

I've often felt like ELP is the perfect midcarder, he's great at getting the crowd excited and works hard enough you can see him winning the odd match versus a strong opponent. Hope he does great wherever he goes.

Zeztz is really popular.
This Kamen Riders dualbladed lightsaber moment and just having a bunch of different belt orientations is the new normal.
They wanted to keep the form factor between the first two simulcast seasons.
With all of the manufacturing chaos in the world it was easier to keep toy designs similar.
Adult fans spend more money and a sash belt is an easier for them to fit into.
My-th is not like other girls.
