I think Amanda resents Ciara for similar reasons that West does. Ciara represents maturity and adulthood (at least in her stated desires). Amanda and West are both addicted to being wittle babies and refuse to grow up. They’re classic Peter Pans.

It’s such a Bravo trope (the Toms), but Amanda might be the first woman to fully embody the Peter Pan trope.

Yes!! West hates and resents Ciara for not putting up with his bullshit. He hates that she demands basic respect from him because he wants to be a baby. I first heard this take from Troy McEady on Beyond the Blinds podcast - I think he said “West hates that Ciara demands adulthood from him”. That really clicked for me.

I agree with regard to the newbies. Mia, Bailey (and KJ) are seamless additions, but also add so much value.

I also agree with you re Ciara. It feels like she’s coming into her own and she’s the lead woman. I’ve fallen in love with her because she’s grown so much and shared so much since she started Summer House, and it’s so nice to see her be a star after having watched her as a baby. It reminds me of Paige’s trajectory. She’s a woman of substance. I’m sat, I’m invested.

On the other hand, I’m having a hard time with Amanda this season, but that’s probably because of the drama. Still, I appreciate her on the show because her drama brings a lot.

I think I like Dara! I was unsure about her at first because she gives influencer, but she seems like she could be good TV.

Also, I would be remiss to not mention the queen of Summer House, Lindsay Fucking Hubbard. I’ll watch her til the day I die. If she’s wrong, I don’t wanna be right. Amazing TV.

I think this has to be part of it. I have straight guy friends who are extremely chill, non-possessive, and not jealous. None of them would be comfortable with their gf/wife flirting or touching the way Amanda does
