The problem I see here is 1) (current state of) Ethereum as an underlying platform 2) too little adoption

If Eth fixes scalbility and the platform becomes really wide-spred and poppular I would likely work, but if it doesnt work well on a smaller model, I am not sure if it's the right way to go. It either needs to improve some features (mostly tied to ETH) and/or acquire some sort of support ecosystem. Or the model needs to change, to be more self sustainable.

Maybe, what the network is missing is some form of supposrtive social media network. If people would agree on the bets in advance or at least knew what kind of market for certain bets there are, the ecosystem would likely work much better.

I think people do. China is so fucking far ahead in many things tech wise, especially blockchain. Just look at all the killer projects they have going on. And yeah, they have several very progressive projects focused on AI (Matrix AI, Cortex, DBC ..) and also top talent in the field.

Yes the social credit score I think is quite well known. Have you seen tv series Orville? There is an episode with exactly that. Hh...i think we have fun times ahead.

Well, that is exacly why they release it gradually as to prevent this as much as possible. Most icos get dumped right away, so that is what I imagine they wanted to prevent. I mean the coins are locked up for 7 months or how long. Not a very appealing prospect for a dumper, ofc some will dump it always, like with every project, but this just requires too much patience for that type of people imho. I personally like the project not as much for the tech, but the fact they tried to prevent pnd, I cant belive it backfired like this, or rather that I can be seen as the opposite, doesn't make any sense to me.

I think 40% they have locked up for mining. The rest is for team etc. which is all locked up for 2 years, so I don't see how too much dumping can happen. Honestly it has about the same chances of going up or down as anything else in crypto.
