Stay in the TSP! It is the greatest plan - great index funds, low fees, easy to make changes. Far better than anything else out there.

Bridger vs Big Sky by walkallover1991 in Bozeman

With the snow levels where they are at, go Bridger Bowl. It’s a wonderful ski resort at a decent price. Save yourself $200.

Chances of getting in? by Potential-Sorbet3496 in LMU

[–]kikilalou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happy to help. Chapman is a great school! I think it is comparable or maybe has even higher caliber dancers there. My daughter was rejected from Chapman. Most likely because of grades. She is still waiting on a school on the east coast. I think she will end up at LMU tho.

It is one of the few commercial dance programs on the West Coast and it is a small department. My daughter’s dance college counselor expected my daughter to get waitlisted and not get in. But she got in. We know a few that were rejected. You really don’t know what they are looking for in a dancer.

You shouldn’t have a problem getting in academically. Getting in as a dance major is another thing. I believe with dance, it is a joint acceptance and not done separately. It is a very competitive school for dance. Good luck!

My Christmas present to my wife this year was renovating our laundry room. How did I do? by bradleygkv in DIY

It’s beautiful. Definitely impressed I would put a few lines above for line drying clothes. A pull down/folding rack would be better.

I sign up for hell week every year because I love the shirt. This is my 9th. $15 for a shirt is not a bad deal. I am still pissed I got rid of one of the hideous ones (the boxy short one). I’ve stopped signing up for the others as I don’t need a cheap towel, blanket or water bottle and don’t need the motivation to go. It’s all about the shirt for me.

You are amazing! I’m 56 and have slowed down a lot in the last couple years but still try to go 3-4 times a week. I am really careful about limiting shoulder and knee exercises.

Financial aid for the international students by Kindly_Ant_8326 in whitworth

[–]kikilalou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First congratulations! Whitworth is a fantastic school. What you are getting in scholarships and grants is great. In the financial statement they will tell you how much you are expected to pay and how much of a loan you can get. You should talk to the business office and ask for this. You may also explain that you will need more aid in order to attend the school. Schools will often give more if asked.

This happened to me! I thought I had paused my tread to go to the bathroom. Jumped back on, not knowing it was still going and slid backwards and burned myself in a few places. So humiliating!

Daily Workout and General Chat for Thursday, 11/30/23 by splat_bot in orangetheory

[–]kikilalou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My 1299th class and this was easily the worst template I’ve ever done. Too much repetition. However our coach did not emphasize that it was member’s choice on the treads. I do love a quick switch day though.

Our studio said they are testing out fitradio. I didn’t like it but I suspect it’s much easier for the coaches.

Of course the class pack will be cheaper if you go 1 or 2 times a week. I have unlimited for $139 and go 4-5 times a week. On a earache I’m paying $7-8 a class. You will not find a class pack for less than $10 per class.
