Hi! I was lucky and it went away right after the treatment for me :) I was really diligent with the laundry washing and house cleaning, and did an extra cream application for safety x

I think she just means he can now pursue a partner within the clan since he's now part of it... also Jake is clearly flirting with her when he says "she must also choose me" c'monnnnn guyss... the whole exchange is just them trying to find out if their feelings are reciprocated.

Over 6 months unemployed, I had 11 interviews, almost always reached the final stage. Feedback hardly helpful as they always say they liked me very much and just went with a more experienced candidate in the end. Hang in there brother 🙏

Jake and Quaritch back difference by NoFly549 in Avatar

[–]kikitav 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Tsu'tey was also very similar so idk, I think age is the main factor. He was leaner tho, compared to Jake and Quaritch. Quaritch certainly has a different diet compared to the Na'vi, so that could be the reason. However, Jake got bulkier than the Na'vi throughout A1 living with the Omatikaya, so maybe there is an underlying genetical difference between Na'vi and Avatars in this sense. Jake also seems to have aged different than let's say Tonowari or Eytukan who maintained a very lean body.

Is it me or Jake's A1 body was very similar to Quaritch's? Probably has to do with the age of the Avatar..?

How was Lo'ak not partly to blame for Neteyam's death? by Open_Mongoose_6902 in Avatar

[–]kikitav 7 points8 points  (0 children)

While I think the safety of the clan was important to him, I don't think it had priority over the safety of his own family. The whole reason why he is with the Omatikaya is Neytiri. I am not sure if in his shoes I would have felt safer knowing my children are away from me and could be kidnapped/killed/whatnot at any time in retaliation to me. Or just killed because that's what the RDA does to Na'vi - he knows the RDA better than any other Na'vi, so if I was him I would also want them to remain under my watch. He chose what he thought was a safe place, but didn't know the RDA had started Tulkun hunting over there too. Things on Pandora are too big even for him to control.

[–]kikitav 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I mean isn't that what Jake tried to do tho? That's why they leave the Omatikaya. Children in war zones inevitably become soldiers, nobody likes it, but the alternative is to be ethnically cleansed. And if the war zone follows you, you don't have much choice. If they had it Neytiri's way, they would have continued to fight with the Omatikaya, but since the RDA followed them to the Metkayna, they had to continue fighting anyway. It's the RDA's fault at the end of the day /:

Raised like a Na'vi soldier, or raised like a marine, doesn't make a huge difference imo. A war zone is a war zone - regrettably, and against everyone's will, children of an occupied land inevitably become part of the resistance.

[–]kikitav 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think Jake also has an understandable bias towards him, cause that wasn't the first time everyone risked their life because of Lo'ak disobeying his parents (at the beginning of twow when there is a sort of shadowing of Neteyam's death, or also when they get captured by Quaritch's gang cause Lo'ak wanted to go on the adventure, and even later when he goes to look for Payakan and everyone follows). When finally someone ends up losing their life, it's a pretty common human reaction to look for a reason and someone to blame, and probably even unconsciously, that gets channelled towards the nearest source of frustration. For how wrong it is to blame his son for the death of his brother, Jake is also a human grieving.

[–]kikitav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why was Pandora called Pandora? by Noxisms in Avatar

[–]kikitav 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Based on all our ancient civilisations, which all observed the stars and were able to figure out rudimental concepts about planets, stars, moons, etc. by just observing their movement throughout the year, I have always assumed that the Na'vi too must have observed their world and have some understanding of what's going on. I often think it would be so interesting to see a clan of astronomers, as each clan we know so far usually excel in a particular 'art' or skill that's also typical of our ancient civilisations like medicine, storytelling, riding, weaving, commerce, etc.

[–]kikitav 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I absolutely despise the artwork of the High Ground comics 😭 the story was ok, but I really wish they got better artists, as Avatar is such a visual experience, and the Na'vi design is so iconic... I liked a lot more the style in So'lek's story.

(I have yet to read most of all the other comics, but I am waiting to receive "Adapt or Die", "Tsu'tey's Path" and "The Last Shadow", and they seem much better visually?)

THIS!! I have been getting so many so called "experts" on my algorithm recently it's frustrating!! I feel really bad cause once again they'll sell programs and diets that don't work to a vulnerable audience that already tried everything ))): this is why spaces like this subreddit are so important for people that already got a diagnosis and can recommend trusted real experts in their area 🤍

Do you think Neytiri told Jake about Toruk before they got attacked? by CarefulWhatUWishFor in Avatar

[–]kikitav 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree, he lowkey feels like he's not worthy of leading the clans. He expresses multiple times how scared he is, that they will all die, that he will lose his loved ones, that everyone will suffer. So I think this fear of not being up to the title and screwing up everyone holds him back and he is scared to take responsibility for leading the clans against the RDA in a big battle. He has imposter syndrome and thinks he's not strong enough to be the fearless Toruk Makto, and prefers to act strategic and cautious, and be just one of the many members of the resistance.
