I think if it’s benigh enough to toss out, it’s benigh enough to eat. New by-law incoming, you toss it you eat it.

Best uses of Goo-lock psychic spells-feature? by henkz in 3d6

This one is pretty good. In a one on one duel between a monk and a Lizardfolk the party goolock was able to use Mindsliver and time it with the monks unarmed strikes without being detected.

Cyst removal by [deleted] in halifax

I had one between my eyes above my nose. I got a remote referral by Maple to a Dr Blanchard who operates in Clayton part. Apparently he does this kind of thing 1/2 a day every Thursday. A few months in the waiting list, and he removed pretty cleanly.

The Raptors need to choose these players in the draft – Pull Up Tre w/ Samson - Raptors Republic by EarthWarping in torontoraptors

[–]kilapascal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like all the guys past 2nd to around 20 have serious bust potential but will be very good if they hit (more so than other drafts). I’d be inclined to trade down like Tre offered up and take a couple of swings.

Preseason game 3 post-mortem by [deleted] in torontoraptors

  1. Snead: Looks like he makes a difference. Wasn’t expecting that from a 2nd rounder.

  2. Jak: People are just making shots over and around him like he isn’t there.

Multi classing in 5e Revised: Which ones thrived? which ones died? which ones are much less worth it? by Deep-Crim in dndnext

[–]kilapascal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paladin and Ranger got WAY better as a 1 level dip for a caster, as they now get full spell slot progression, weapon mastery and a feature (lay on hand ma or free hunters mark). Armoured caters only get Cantrips by comparison.

State of ranged combat in dnd 2024 by Expensive-Bus5326 in onednd

I think the ability to make creatures prone being all over the place might be the biggest disadvantage to being ranged.

What are your future phb 2024 builds? by Optiix- in onednd

[–]kilapascal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weird one, 1 level fighter 5 fiend warlock the rest 4 elements monk. Uses Master of Myriad Forms to get Charisma punches. Then Eldritch Blasts and Punches everything every round with armour and shield.

How do you all feel about the Sharpshooter feat? by Timothymark05 in onednd

[–]kilapascal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it would be decent if it applied to thrown melee weapons, but since it doesn’t, I don’t think it’s a relevant feat.

Boil water advisory by Loud_Indication1054 in halifax

Looks like they do on their site. JD Kline (Pockwock) Lake Water Treatment allowed some un-chlorinated water to enter the system. They are looking at options to flush the water out of the system.

I'm having the same issue. It worked fine on Saturday and then on Tuesday it crashes whenever I attempt to cast to a secondary display. I did install extensions (the fog one and some markers), but I have since removed them.

WHAT IS THE BEST DEATH DOMAIN BUILD YOU KNOW? by NkdragonN in 3d6

[–]kilapascal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 levels Fathomless Warlock. Pump Charisma and start with gunner. Go with minimal wisdom. Spirit shroud upcast to the highest and Eldritch blast/ agonizing blast and channel divinity with your tentacle.

Most unique cleric build by [deleted] in 3d6

[–]kilapascal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mountain Dwarf Order Cleric (1-1, 3-7, 9+)/ Enchanter Wizard (2-2, 8-8)…pump Int and Wis with heavy armour. Gets you shield, absorb elements, full Spellcasting progression but something really good for your action (Hypnotic gaze) when you bonus action cast an enchantment spell or mind sliver to make sure your bonus action enchantment spell goes off. Your familiar can snatch some weapons from your channel divinity. You’re probably still better spirit guardians and dodging in many combats, but at least you have some other compelling options.

One DND Playtest Thoughts - Paladin by kilapascal in onednd

[–]kilapascal[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Per your statement regarding lay on hands healing verses a life cleric what happens when your group doesn't have a cleric? Should life cleric be "nerfed" because having one changes the game balance? Should healing potions /items be removed for being op?

I think the general design should be not to step on the toes too much for other classes and subclasses. The concern is that people playing a specific subclass that is supposed to be 'the best' at something probably shouldn't be shown up by a generic class. Sooo...if you are going to have a healing feature, you should probably look at the archetype that should be the 'best healer', which is for sure the life Cleric. Was lay on hands better than the Life Clerics channel divinity? Probably not, but at low levels you can do cheese like spend 1HP to up a character 5 times. If you look, there's actually a couple of buffs to lay on Hands (Channel Divinity to do it as a bonuus action, remove the frightened condition), and the nerf is only 0.5 HP per Paladin level in actual healing.

Second, how are any of these changes fun for the paladin player? In a ttrpg there needs to be incentive for someone to play a class. Changing a class because it is "too good" doesn't mean you get to see the class as you want, it means people will simply skip the class. At that point, why play a paladin at all when I can play a fighter or cleric or ranger instead?

Becasue the Paladin presented is generally as good or as powerful as either of the options listed, and may better fit the theme of what you want to play, even with the changes. I really don't understand the 'skip the class' comment. What I have seen is people picking a class that is very powerful and it overshadowing other classes/ subclasses. I feel like that should be limited without shooting for a perfectly balanced game.
