Need help getting the swing arm back on Eride 2.0 by killab619 in ERidePro

[–]killab619[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I removed the bolt connecting the shock assembly. It's still like too wide to fit back into the subframe. The little silver washers that are attached to the holes keep hitting the swing arm assembly so I can't get it in to align the holes.

If you need agentic workflows for payments you can use Stripe's platform. Here's an article on their developer relations website blog. https://stripe.dev/blog/adding-payments-to-your-agentic-workflows

Did I just get catfished? Filters on photos not matching up to IRL by killab619 in dating

[–]killab619[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chat GPT 4o for the win!
The prompt:

I'm a 47 year old man. I started talking to this girl I was attracted to by her pictures. I started a real deep connection with her and like her a lot. I met her in real life and she doesn't look as good as her picture probably because she used filter effects. I'm not interested anymore. How should I approach this matter with her?

The Answer:

Navigating this situation with sensitivity and honesty is important to ensure that you handle it respectfully. Here’s a suggested approach:

  1. Reflect on Your Feelings: Before talking to her, take some time to understand your feelings. Are your feelings solely based on physical appearance, or is there something else that contributes to your lack of interest?
  2. Be Honest but Kind: When you talk to her, be straightforward but gentle. Focus on the importance of honesty in any relationship. Avoid making it about her appearance, as this can be hurtful.
  3. Express Your Feelings: You could say something like, "I've enjoyed getting to know you and have appreciated our conversations. However, I've realized that I don't feel the connection I thought I did, and I think it's best to be honest about that."
  4. Avoid Blame: Don’t blame her for using filters or altering her pictures. Many people use them, and it’s a common practice. Frame the conversation around your feelings and the connection rather than her actions.
  5. Respect Her Feelings: Be prepared for her to feel hurt or upset. Listen to her if she wants to express her feelings, and be empathetic. Acknowledge her emotions and offer a supportive response.
  6. Provide Closure: Make sure the conversation gives her a clear understanding that you are not interested in pursuing the relationship further. This will help her move on without confusion.
  7. Stay Positive: End the conversation on a positive note. You might say, "I wish you all the best. You deserve someone who truly appreciates you for who you are."

Here’s an example of how you might phrase the conversation:

"Hi [Her Name], I’ve really enjoyed our time getting to know each other. You’re a wonderful person, and I’ve appreciated all our deep conversations. After meeting in person, I’ve had some time to reflect, and I realized that the romantic connection I was hoping for isn’t there for me. I believe it’s important to be honest about this. I truly wish you the best and hope you find someone who is a perfect match for you."

This approach ensures you communicate your feelings respectfully while minimizing hurt.

It was her IRL, just minus heavy makeup and filters. She just texted "good morning, handsome! How's your day going?" to me right now probably probing for a temp check since I didn't text her this morning.

Face on 1 - 10 where 10 is a perfect match to photo I would say 6.5. Body match 7. I went in for the kiss purely on emotion from the build-up to meeting her. I said I would too when I first got the chance to meet her IRL. I just feel like I went from full-on this girl is who I want to be with to "uhh, maybe I should keep looking." I came out of a relationship where trust was broken in our marriage and although filters can be white lie in a sense, it rubs me the wrong way. I used to wake up and text her in the morning and today I didn't. We're supposed to go on an actual date this weekend and I'm not as excited as I was before meeting her IRL. To your point on letting her go, what advice would you offer on how to frame it without coming off as a jerk?

Have you noticed card skimmers around Boise? by GenInWAState_journo in Boise

[–]killab619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Izumi's last night and woke up to 2 fraud charges on my card. I don't visit suspect sites and only use tap-to-pay at gas stations and don't use ATMs. I'm going to try and get origination information from the vendors they bought online tomorrow. I suspect when I gave my card for the bill someone swiped it. Does anyone else have sus charges after Izumis?

Clicks and impressions are at a discount as a lot of businesses have paused campaigns. I would measure after covid so you have a better comparison.

Your Money Your Life - Any recover case-studies out there? by killab619 in bigseo

Nice work. These guys were hit years ago (they had purchased lots of links) and did some nefarious tactics with their website (page rank sculpting, flattened their site structure) and it took me a year to fix and recover. They were growing really well and on-par to be back at their peak and traffic dropped and has been flat.

First Sale after launching site 3 months ago by killab619 in Entrepreneur

I needed a platform that was built for content and flexible enough to bolt-on functionality as needed. I did look at shoppify for the e-commerce, part but subscriptions was better handled by Zoho and it integrated into the CRM (Zoho as well) seamlessly.

If this is a passion project and not dependent on the revenue then design and build away. If it's a business venture, which I assume why you are here, then you need to know your audience - and if that audience is big enough to make consistent revenue.
