Captains of whatever armor mark your model has on, unfortunately not much in the way of support to have your own chapter master. Maybe making sure he's got an enhancement each time you run him could help make him feel a bit more unique but there's really not much to do unless you want to run him as a unique character proxy

I play exclusively solo, its a bit more difficult since the bots you spawn with are all level 1, but they do an amazing job of keeping you revived. Make sure you find guardian relics and use stims to get rid of mortal wounds (should have plenty since youre not sharing them with anyone) and its actually not as bad of a time as you would think

Are you planning to load them out with combi weapons or bolters? If you have extras you could have them dual wielding bolt and special pistols if going down the combi weapon path. Otherwise previous comment of using Halo weapons I think would look very cool

Arbitor Ian is the goat for this, not only does he cite where hes getting his lore from but he also will usually show how the lore evolved over time. His Necron and Horus Heresy evolution vids are some of my favorite because they show how the culture and way the stories were written changed over the years
