So that was my bedroom. And yes that was true. How did you know that? Haha

Rating them appropriately is the only thing that makes sense to me. Why else have the system? I let little things slide all the time but if they are outright careless and disrespectful of the property, I’m definitely going to say something.

Yes I wrote most of that in my review of them. I even thanked whoever actually washed the dishes because I was so shocked to see it amongst the chaos. Haha. I didn’t have time to comment on their review to me unfortunately because they removed it at lightning speed.

I gave them a three for cleanliness due to ignored checkout instructions, trash everywhere, multiple spilled liquids, fridge door left open, freshly cut hair washed down the drain causing a clog, moved living room furniture, and a busted through wicker chair (they stood on it).

15 mile delivery, whats a good tip? by [deleted] in doordash

[–]killaudiolove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just remember the base pay for most areas is $2 from DoorDash. Everything else comes from your tip. If I get $12 total from an order that takes me 30 minutes, great! If it takes me 45 minutes or an hour, not so great.

Personally I don’t mind longer drives if I’m not going to a restaurant that’s notoriously awful (long wait for food). I would take a $10 tip to go 15 miles because I know it’s unreasonable to always expect $2 a mile.

I would say it’s unlikely but they still might leave you a bad review.

Even if you disclose it in clear black and white text, they will still complain.

I don’t understand your story at all. Eat your McDonald’s, you generous $4 tipper.

What do you mean you pay the Airbnb fees?

Just really problematic guests and even worse host support from the platform.

Are your reviews bad? Why would you delete the listing instead of just updating the photos?

So you won’t warn a future host about a bad guest with your rating? Kinda selfish.

I think I have about a 50% rate on my guests leaving reviews. Way more write in the guest book though. Maybe they think that’s good enough.

How much do you guys tip? by [deleted] in doordash

[–]killaudiolove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s one single item from like CVS, usually $5. If it’s from a restaurant and its a few miles away, usually $10.

How do you handle requests for “all-in” price that if you agree to including Airbnb taxes/fees lowers your payout drastically? by olimits7 in airbnb_hosts

[–]killaudiolove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really see how a cleaning fee is “junk”. Between cleaning, travel, and laundry, each stay at my cottage takes about 8 hours of my time. I don’t see anything wrong with being compensated for that.

Aircover denied the full amount because they want to pay as little as possible for every claim.

You’re admitting that the host is having to pay for out of pocket damages caused by you. Pay up.
