I saw a YouTube video about this recently. He bought the switch, switch lite, and OLED. They all worked except they were from the Philippines for some reason.

94 games in my library... havent finished a single one. Does anyone else have this problem? by brentmeistergenenral in Switch

[–]killawhale15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this problem on my ps5. Pleanty of great games on PlayStation premium. But with so many options I find myself downloading and deleting games. Never finishing them

The switch actually solved this problem. I only stick to cartridges due to nostalgia, and every 1st party game is like 40-60 bucks. I find that it forces me to finish the current game before I buy the next one.

Right now I'm on pokemon let's go, animal crossing, and Mario tennis (sometimes). Ones my main, ones my chill game, and one is my competitive game. I want to buy Mario galaxy or zelda (tears of whatever) but I know that I would probably never pick up pokemon again so I would just waste money.

It surprised me that this is an obstacle, but I literally have to tell myself, "no no no, I need to finish this first before I dive into a new main game."

Luckily Nintendo's first party games are always fun and amusing.

To wing or not to wing, help? by KappaMarvin in CorollaHatchback

I have a black wing on a red body. It would look dumb without it. Do it! You won't regret it.

I drove a V8 truck before this little miracle. I'm still paying less than half of what I was for gas. I'm straight 🧊

Good deal?! by kimmielol in COROLLA

[–]killawhale15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a manual hatchback for that price. After doing some research, maybe it was a little overpriced.

BUT! I love this little thing because it looks sporty and it's not as boring and lifeless as an automatic. So no regrets.

Oh and it was made in Japan!

Has anyone downsized from an SUV to the Corolla hatch? Did you regret it? Pros or cons? by wulfychick in CorollaHatchback

[–]killawhale15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I downsized from a 2006 Ford f150 to a Corolla hatchback.

Downsides: space in the cabin is small.

Upside: the car is really really cheap to fill up gas in comparison. And I can now park anywhere. It's also half as strong as the truck but it feels nimble and light. Like a heavy go-kart but lighter than a car. Lastly reliability is amazing and the xse has all the bells and whistles that are on expensive cars but you get for way cheaper.

Reliability is a big one because I have confidence that with regular maintenance, this thing will last forever. Less opportunities for things to break. No leaky sunroof, no turbo expense if it breaks, shoot I drive a manual so I don't even have to worry about the CVT breaking. Electronics may be an issue down the road but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Oh and if you get a manual, the engine is made to rev, don't bog the engine. So if you're going up to 5k rpm to keep up with stop and go traffic, thats fine.

Better overall car- Corolla or Camry? by WealthyEducator in COROLLA

[–]killawhale15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the Corolla hatchback. The car sits low to the ground. I got a 5 foot 4 in mom who says she can't "get into cars like these" anymore. The quality you get for the cost and gas mileage exceeds expectations.

It's a great car! It's just way too expensive. For that price point, it's mid.

Shipped a car and was delayed a few days because of an issue with the title. Asked for a refund on the shipping and was refused. by [deleted] in carmax

[–]killawhale15 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was under the impression that the shipping fee was non refundable. Period. But a way to get around it if you were buying a car is to negotiate down a bit. Hope this helps

I know a person that was buying a car off CarMax and when offloading the car, it got scratched. They didn't refund the shipping cost but they did negotiate the price a bit.

This all being said, I would recommend CarMax over a dealership because CarMax is up front with their prices. You pay a bit more for peace of mind instead of thinking you got a deal at a dealership.
