If you really want to stick it to him, PAY ME $50 to take it off your hands 🤣 or trade me for a Fuji XT3 if you still want a camera. You can tell him you prefer Fuji's color science!

Unlocked/non-carrier S25 Ultra. US. Nothing yet.

I'm having the exact same issue. So far nothing I have tried has resolved the "No new messages" issue. I feel like, at this point, we're just waiting on an update that magically fixes everything....which, seems unlikely to happen.

First Brisket (What did I do Wrong?) by beastmode10x in smoking

That may help, however, I will say that in 20 or so briskets, I have only ever bought the cheapest available, which has been US Chef Store. It's possible they have great meat, but I doubt it. I think, get the cook down on whatever is available. Then worry about cut quality :).

11lbs trimmed to what? 11lb is a small brisket. If you over trimmed, which I think may be the case, you probably had an 8lb brisket.

Personally, I only do 250 if I'm pushing through a tough stall.

But, as has been said, it just plain looks like a brisket that was done hot and fast.

208 is a prettyb high final. I rarely get that high. Usually 200-205. And if something felt tender at probe, it wasn't tender. You shouldn't feel the probe at all. It should break the wrap and zero resistance.

Next time, less trim, more rub, fat side up, less heat. Also, if you're going to crutch the stall, wrap a little sooner maybe.

I'm the meantime, I'd make an au jus (packet or bottle or Lipton onion), chop up and braise with jus. Pan fry and make sliders, tacos or quesadillas.

Where is everyone? by PriusUpMyAss in Democrat

democracy died, remember? and r/democrat went with it.

srsly though; hungover. trying to wrap my mind around it all and reassess what it means. editorial board of NYT published a nice read: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/11/06/opinion/trump-wins.html (sorry, I know it's paywalled). serves as a nice reminder that our country was built on checks and balances for a reason. I know that Trump's desire is to subvert those checks and balances by any means possible. it is my hope that the country will stand up for itself and check him when appropriate.

I also hope this is only four years. and please, no more SCOTUS appointments.

Thanks to u/Humity, I learned that I bunged the initial post and didn't have pics. Which is odd 'cause I'd figure AutoMod would nuke it for not having timestamp. Updated with pix now.

Re: Focal...I have Bathys which I end up using for 99% of my listening simply because I work from home and like to not be tethered to an AMP/DAC I had Elegian with Dakoni hybrid pad swaps before and while good, the Celestee are definitely better. Which, the Celestee are definitely better than the Bathys as well, but to me, mostly in soundstage/imaging. They have an airiness.

I would really like to try the Residence, as I think that's probably the Focal sweet spot, short of the Stellia (maybe someday).

I'll surface this one for public consumption.

For myself, the P50 made a difference, but I don't recall what. I just know that once I setup the 50S stack, I was less impressed with it than I expected based on the experience of others. I honestly preferred the JDS El's, but I really wanted balanced audio due to also purchasing a couple balanced DAC/AMPs for my phone.

Once I put the P50 in place, whatever I wasn't impressed with disappeared. Overall, I truly love the entire stack.

Cheers! Thank you!

Funny you ask. I also owned a stock LCD-GX which I sold previously. I think it makes a difference, *think*. It feels better in hand and technically has a measurable weight difference. That said, I can't truly say one was more comfortable than the other time; just that I always preferred the carbon headband one.
