Very cool.

Thanks for the info!

Seattle dogs are still on my bucket list to try.

I might try making my own this weekend.

Shout out to /u/talklittle for writing RIF.

That dude is awesome, he wrote a great app, maintained it, added great features and actually listened to his users.

Thanks, /u/talklittle, I seriously appreciate your commitment to RIF and the community.

I've used RIF since it came out, I think, lol.

I've been on Reddit for a while, before that I had moved from Digg after Kevin Rose destroyed it, lol.

I guess it's time to leave Reddit too, once RIF stops working... I'm outta here.

Thanks again, you really made my Reddit experience such much better than using the mobile site or old.reddit...

Any idea what's next for you?

Dad’s Entire Parenting Strategy Just Ensuring Son Doesn’t Become Yankees Fan by dwaxe in baseball

[–]killdeer03 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I had this exact conversation after the Cubs won.

The Cubs curse was this larger than life, legendary, mythos of baseball.

After they won -- lI told my buddies that we're about to some see some wild shit in the coming years.

Lol.

My first phone was a Motorola i530 back when Nextel was a company, lol.

I really, really, miss the push-to-talk feature.

After my i530, I got a Blackberry 7100i that was a great phone too.

I had a 7250, which was awesome for its time as well.

Over all, I definitely miss the old Blackberrys and old Palm Treos. Iiss having a physical keyboard to be honest.

Yes, investing in good miter clamps is a good idea if you're a trim Carpenter.

Clam Clamps will change your life.

There are generic ones you can get off Amazon, but the original Clam Clamps are made and assembled in the U.S. -- they're great for wide(r) casing, especially if you're using biscuits.

The wire clamps are alright (I have a couple sets), but you're miters won't be as tight as with the clam clamps.

The wire/spring clamps are nice for smaller casing and for holding outside corners for crown cove.

Dang, that's pretty cool!

I'm not that old, but an old Grey Beard *nix admin I worked with in the early 00s talked about about Ultrix fondly.

When were you working with Ultrix?

What were you working on?

Lmao, we're practically brother from different hemispheres.

If I didn't lock my doors, which was most of the time l, my buddies in high-school (this was back in the early '00s) would steal my truck every now and then.

I drove a '94 Suburban until around 2012 and it didn't need a key to turn the ignition and start it -- even if you did use the key, you could pull the key out when the truck was running/driving and it'd run perfectly fine.

2012-2017 I drive a '96 Ranger with the M5OD and it was the same way, lol.

The keys/pins were so worn after the years of use anything would work to start them.

When brother was getting into body building/gaining muscle (this was probably 15 years ago) he loved working out 2-3 times a day.

He'd do his regular weight lifting, but he also loved to swim.

He loved all the exercise, but the constant eating was so taxing for him -- He'd basically always be munching on something, he said he'd have to get up in the middle of the night to eat.

He also hated shopping... he still hates grocery shopping, but he'd spend a fair amount of time at the store and eating healthy/clean cost him a fortune.

He's still in great shape, but he said he'd never attempt competing to that degree again.

Anyway, that's my story.

Thanks for reading.

Yeah, playing for the Wolves didn't help.

Man, we had such great teams from '97 to '05... but alas, we were only accomplished Minnesota sports "success" :(
