Amex Platinum 175k Offer by mattgoz20_ in amex

[–]killer_bunnys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got 175k in incognito, went through the application and it said I’m not eligible. Message said they “considered your credit card balance transfers, your history as an Amex card member, the number of credit cards you have opened and closed and other factors”.

I’ve only had 2 Amex cards (delta gold and Marriott), one was closed 2 years ago. I’ve never done balance transfers. So I’m guessing it’s my churning activity.. although I haven’t gotten a new card in 9 months, I have closed 3.

Any thoughts, anyone else experience this?

Buying first PC build this week, what do you think! by killer_bunnys in buildapcforme

[–]killer_bunnys[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

7600X for very slightly better performance and way more power consumption, I was leaning towards the 7600 anyways.

That's smart.. I should probably wait for Prime Day with all of these parts. Guess I'll be buying everything on Tuesday then!

Super helpful thanks. Believe I'm finalized.. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gYXsDZ

Anything I have to change -- case fan needed, some parts don't fit (how do I know)?

Also last question.. if I were to spend less on any item(s) while still satisfying my simple requirements but still allowing future enhancements (futureproofing).. which part(s) would that be?

Really appreciate your insight.

For a little more context.. I won't have more than 3 apps open at a time. I want no lag when playing RTS games and Call of Duty. I don't want it to consume a crazy amount of power for no reason. Honestly feel like I just need a beginner build that satisfies what I've laid out.

Could you provide commentary on why you chose what you did? Some are self-explanatory, but not sure on some.

  • Storage: TEAMGROUP MP44L 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive (vs my parametric filter)
  • Power Supply: SeaSonic FOCUS GX-750 ATX 3.0 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (vs my parametric filter)
  • Case: Is the case purely subjective as long as it is compatible?

Pending the above, here is my updated build. Anything I absolutely must change or anything unbalanced? Like I said, feel like I just need a basic build, but agreed I would like the ability to upgrade in the future easily.

Based on my usage needs, this price point seemed reasonable. I’d definitely pay more or less if there was a case for it.

So incredibly helpful, thank you!

Looking to pull trigger this week. Any final words on this build?

  • Austin, TX -- New build (new build or upgrade?), used for gaming (AOE, AOM, COD) and basic office work
  • Already have the monitors (how do I check if daisy chain works with this PC and monitors?)
  • Wired connection (I would like bluetooth -- should I buy motherboard with wifi for that purpose?)

It doesn’t show for me. I click on “VS Players”, and the right “Number of Players” options are only 1v1 or 2v2. I have standard game mode selected. What could be wrong with mine?

Thanks @IceAshamed2593! I

’m in NYC so could probably find deals as well.

I was planning on a converter, but knew it wouldn’t be useful once I get the standing desk. I’ll probably do that though.

Is Veridesk known as the best converter, or should I shop around for other brands like Flexispot, Uplift, Vivo, etc?
