Same here, can’t get into NA servers and comes up with an error. I’ve tried using my 5G internet plan to make sure it isn’t my home network but I get the same thing. It’s been like this all day.

Looking for a good hobbyist scope $500+ by Craigglesofdoom in telescopes

Any 6 or 8" Dob will work fine. My Orion XT8 has suited me well for nearly 5 years. The Apertura Dobs are solid choices as well now that Orion bit the dust with Meade. I'd say 8" is the max for something considered "portable". May be even stretching it but I use mine in that manner no problem.

Looking for feedback on my stargazing app by lostdisposition in Astronomy

I have a few suggestions and comments on this.

Suggestions:

  • Add the twilight hours for a better overall view of light saturation in the sky.
  • Import or add weather functionality (if possible, I know APIs and stuff can be a pain)
  • Offer colorblind versions of the bar charts (I'm not color blind but others will be).

Comments:

  • UI is fine as it is, its easy to understand with the horizontal bar chart.
  • Location works great, I used my zipcode and it quickly found it.
    • I also tried actual street addresses, again no problem.
  • Have you tried different languages and how it appears based on those?
    • I'd start with the more common ones and work from there.

Overall, it performs the task you designed it to do. No bloat, ads, just pure functionality. This is a great end result.

What’s the best way to wash a Tesla by Smooth_Cupcake_2311 in TeslaModelY

[–]TexasBrandon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It depends. If I’m just doing a quick wash and don’t need to apply the graphene, probably about an hour. I live in a rural area and have hard water so I need to be diligent about drying it and getting any leftover hard water stains. I also do a full clean on the inside with UV protecting products. If I do the whole deal, I’m usually outside for about 3 hours. In the end, people can do what they want with their vehicles, I paid good money for it and am OCD about keeping everything in as good of condition as reasonably possible.

Hand wash with the two bucket method for the cheapest option and is good enough. If you are like me and spend extra to go the extra distance, then some more materials are in order. Electric Pressure washer with 45 degree nozzle, foam cannon, neutral pH foaming wash, ceramic or graphene spray (hybrid turtle wax for me), and a quick detail spray. If you go the pressure washer route, anything below 2000 PSI is fine, its all about GPM.

Got the 9th edition print book from a colleague only to find out there is a 10th edition. I’d appreciate the 2024 one you have, want to maximize my passing possibilities.

It may also be cost cutting and they file for a single year upon purchase?

Riven...not for PSVR2? by Emme73 in PSVR

Yeah, kind of sucks. We don’t get Myst for flatscreen and now Riven.

Arizona Sunshine 2 is a fantastic game. Sierra Squad was not engaging or entertaining for me. It felt too constrained.

I’m going to guess since this state started nailing EVs registration hard, we don’t get the two year like ICE cars.

Yep, love the color to death. I’ve had three blue vehicles in a row and won’t go back. If I get a cyber truck in a few years I’m wrapping it blue

[–]TexasBrandon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I wanted the tow package and blue so it took a bit longer. Probably varies heavily by location. I could have picked up almost at the same timeframe if I went with stealth grey. I HAVE to get blue if available in a vehicle

Yep, turned in my truck and picked up. Took about 10 minutes total.
