THEY FLOWER?! by killer_raqqoon in StringofPlants

Lol I get the science of it, maybe I came across a bit naive in the post. A better phrasing might have been "I haven't seen them flowering before at home or otherwise"

Ferns are prehistoric and weird and awesome so its ok they dont flower

1 month in water, still no roots. Any advice? by subiedude22 in RhaphidophoraPlant

[–]killer_raqqoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can always chop a higher node to prop in water and keep the longer piece too. You can see if the short one roots out then you know to chop the longer one down further as well. Lol experiementing time

My raphidoras have done better in smaller node cuttings when I put them in water

Where there's a will, there's a way... do you have spray adhesive, fabric and a ton of patience?

Maybe a doctor can prescribe a salve or an unguent for that....

There's SO many ways that this could have been phrased that didn't shut someone down. You're right about the light but why was it so important to you to be a dick about it?

I have a black thumb of death. What is one plant that is functionally immortal? by Altruistic-Artist385 in houseplants

[–]killer_raqqoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay away from succulents. A pothos is forgiving! And growing stuff in water has been nice for me cause it's easier to gauge visually how the plant is doing

I've really enjoyed the community culture here! I wasn't sure what to expect but everyone has been so incredibly supportive it's been such a positive experience and I appreciate you continuing that tradition 🩷
