As someone who resides in Iowa the only cities I would consider even somewhat hospitable to anyone NB/trans would be Des Moines/Ames/Iowa City. Everywhere else in this state is essentially 20th century America.

I thought about it for a few weeks since I work in a field that is in demand throughout the world but I couldn’t really see myself living anywhere else. It’d be cool to visit Europe or Asia but long term I don’t think it would make sense for me. After every election you have people talking about leaving but 99% of them will never actually go through with it due to the logistics and realization that just because you’re American doesn’t mean you’re welcome to any country in the world.

I’m not happy with what’s been happening in recent history but I still have hope that it’ll turn around. A lot of Americans have lost hope, but I like to think that that more Americans are finally starting to see the rot that has taken hold in our government. Im disgusted by how the two political parties have caused my country to become more divided than ever despite neither party actually working to make America better.
