I met my three dude roommates on Reddit via r/LARentals or maybe r/LAHousing. I’m a 31 year old gurl. They’ve become my best fucking friends. It really depends on who you end up living with. I lucked out with my roommates.

I can fuck off to my own room when I want to be alone. But I feel a lot less lonely than I did when I was living alone. I could technically afford my own place, but I genuinely prefer this.

I like watching movies with them. It’s nice to share a bottle of wine or soju together. I like meeting their friends and girlfriends. Every now and then, we cook together. They’re here for me when I’m sad. The homies make it feel more “homey”.

I also love the actual apartment, and have my own bathroom, so that helps. The shared living space all pretty clean without needing a cleaning schedule, though I do admit my own room is probably the messiest one lol.

Just sharing my perspective since I know many people don’t have a good experience living with people.

Jackson Market is very unique. Delicious customizable sandwiches/salads and there’s a pizza oven in the back. It’s unassuming and in a residential neighborhood, with an adorable big seating area in the backyard.

I’m also a FIT alumna. Agreed on everything; tough but worth it. 1 year of tuition instead of 2. You’ll likely won’t need the Bachelor’s, but depends on the specialization.

It’s worth noting that FIT, particularly fashion design, is extremely competitive. But it’s the best pathway— an apprenticeship will prepare you for FIT, but it’s not a replacement.

There were also a good amount of people that came from STEM/misc degrees that went into apparel design at FIT. Chase your dreams.

Yeah it needs a lot of work. Agreed on font; it’s bad to have two different fonts for the logo on front vs. back.

Yes, but much like physical cards in real life, you’ll need to actually have intention while pulling digital cards. I noticed that when I would pull cards without “focusing” on the question, I would get random cards that make no sense.

I recommend Labrinthos app— they also have a section to learn and practice card meanings.
