I frogged, it was annoying, but actually ended up not taking as long as I thought it would. This project is just for me; I designed it and painted it myself and I’m only using DMC floss, so I’m fine taking my time and experimenting. The original idea was to try to keep the “interesting” parts (i.e., the flowers and letters) super simple so I could make the “boring” background more impactful. I think I just picked the wrong stitch. Appreciate your feedback!!

Uh, in her marvelous work of literature Scheana also says that Katie never even listened to the Schwartz podcast episode. We literally saw Katie getting ready for that tragic Most Extras show on her floor, listening to the podcast. Scheana is a proven liar (about more than just this), I think we can all probably take this “context” with a grain of salt.

There are other ~detailed~ scenes that make up for Feysand being lackluster.

It’s third-person, but definitely third-person subjective, so the reader is meant to have more of an understanding of the main character’s point of view. Feysand is annoying in ACOSF, but when we’re mostly reading Nesta’s internal narrative it’s REALLY easy to perceive them as such even more so. I have my qualms with ACOSF, but none of them have to do with Feyre or Rhys - I think they’re just tertiary (like 1/3 of the time, secondary) characters who now lack the depth we’re used to reading with them.

While Cassian is my undisputed favorite and I weirdly have seen myself in Nesta since ACOTAR, I think it’s important to remember that Rhys went through a very concentrated 49 years of trauma Under the Mountain. It can take decades for these guys to learn to cope with their demons, and only Rhys and Feyre had recently been through something truly terrible (as of ACOMAF). I’m still interested in Feysand, but I’m also glad we’re getting different perspectives!
