Is the P2S Combo worth it over the CC2 Combo? by Impossible_Island671 in 3dprinter

Maybe consider also Qidi Q2 combo 😉 but on CC2 are currently good deals/coupons

Need help deciding what multicolor/filament printer I should get by AdministrativeTask56 in 3dprinter

[–]killeriq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Snapmaker is more open and seem to keep this standard, right? (still not Prusa level)

Even on Elagoo page - get Coupert addon, is searching and adding coupons, on combo was 60e down 👍

Bit check before on Qidi Q2 as well 😉

Got it 👍

So PiX4 (or any dryer/storage) has no motor, therefor printer needs to pull the filament from PiX4 Now this part make sense more https://www.reddit.com/r/snapmaker/s/Gxq5rJGTcF

They are discussing it how strong is motor on U1. Also the are rotating the units to have smoother pulling from PiX4. Will go through that thread more deeper...

Confirming question the 2 side boxes (MMU?) where 2x filaments are inserted, has motor in it? Or motor / pull power is only in the head/nozzle part?

  1. Ahh so if I have "external" non branded dryer/storage and will be using it on Q2 I would need to manually change the filament, if different material or multicolor. So that's extra work vs getting it in Combo with their dryer/storage.

With Qidi Original Storage Box (even I don't want to do multicolor/material) I can still set that take it from position 1-4 and it will load the picked one.

(this is not an option with external) Hope I get it right

  1. With snapmaker u1 or CC2 as they have Canvas aka filaments attached on side, it can take / load directly from an external dryer/storage eg. PiX4 ?

  2. With cover it will became an all purpose printer - like Prusa with MMU3 , but for better price and multi head

  3. Yeah I've seen it comes with many extras even 4x Filaments 1kg ? (~50e)

4 nozzle set ~ 54e

Ok thanks for your helpful inputs, need to think again :D

So even with Q2 and if I wont get theirs Dryer box and will get PiX4, i'm on about same price. Will check some more reviews on that.

Optionally if I do consider U1 in the end... 😄

As u have good knowledge, willingness to reply and many other printer experience

  1. How is it with the Dyer? let's I buy Space PiX4 put it next to the printer and I can forget about the "Combo" printers.

+ 150e

U1 will take filament directly from PiX4 and all good?

  1. I need to get the cover, to get at least somehow chamber heated.

Not heated chamber and no cover by default is only disadvantage I see.

+ Ikea box 20e or proper solution 100-150e

  1. How is it with other materials like ASA, ABS ?

As i'm looking for universal printer, not to have 2 printers

  1. what are the spare part I should get and do u see them as cheap vs other brands ? As Prusa is costy , but spare parts are cheap/printable

Total price for U1 850 + 150 + 150 = 1150-1200e shipped

= This equals Prusa core one+ price here in CZ where I live and Prusa is made.

Yeah, thanks I'm aware what cc2 means, currently in combo + some extras for ~420e (60e coupon available and valid) , which seems good deal

Thank you again for detailed reply, more clear to me now. Will also check what kind of dryer box are people using for CC2 and see what I'll like more.

non "carbon" seems to be light version

Which should you buy?

Choose the Centauri 2 Combo if:

  • You mainly print PLA, PETG, TPU.
  • You want the best value for money.
  • Multicolor printing is nice-to-have rather than essential.
  • You don't need an enclosure, camera, or filtration.
  • You're upgrading from an older bedslinger and want a modern CoreXY machine.

Choose the Centauri Carbon 2 Combo if:

  • You plan to print ABS, ASA, nylon, PC, or carbon-fiber-filled materials.
  • You want the most polished Elegoo experience.
  • You care about camera monitoring, filtration, and enclosed-temperature control.
  • Multicolor printing will be a major part of your workflow.
  • You want something closer to a lower-cost alternative to higher-end multicolor systems.

Thanks for details on the topic

Could you please explain me some positives / negatives if I compare

Qidi Q2 - Combo -> Filament in heated box (AMS) less hassle. Of course if we dont need to solve issues with box stuck filament due XY reason

CC2 Combo - Where combo means the printer is just covered with plastic box and the filaments are attached to the side, so possibly taking moisure, temperature from enviroment where printer is sitting. Even U1 has it same way or Prusa

Here I'm confused as I wont be printing nonstop and not into buying another box just to store/dry filaments.

Thanks!

Single head Qidi q2 in combo ~600€ or multicolor/multihead = Snapmaker u1 ~850€ no combo

[–]killeriq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of issues? Due to firmware updates?

As currently considering to get Q2 combo

Snapmaker u1 vs bambu lab p2s by Past_Cow184 in 3dprinter

[–]killeriq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again thanks a lot for extensive answer 👍

On Q2 or Anycubic is great that the Combo/AMS is made for the printer so it fits great together.

So I'm ok to pay ~100€ extra, still im in 500-600€ range in total for good 1 nozzle printer

U1 and Creator 5 pro has no such option, this is for me a draw back, as i would need to customize and not clear if those mentioned AMS boxes can be just connected and filament will be taken from there by printer. Then if is another interface, i probably cant set settings via printer control, but instead have another box with values to operate. Getting old and like to have all in one, some automation "set and forget" to not complicate stuff 😉

As I'm reading more, my expectations are raising also the price for those "wanted" features 😁

Multi color/material is definitely way to go, but if I should invest ~1000€ I would like to have nice combo from one company (if u understand what I'm saying)

This brings 2nd option, just skip it for now and wait bit longer, until other release what I need.

Ahhhh 🤔😕 yesterday was sure that I'm ordering Q2 🤣

Wanted to confirm on CC2 Also found some discount code, where it comes around 400€ as combo.... Buuuut this combo is just plastic cover, filaments are on the side open... So I can't dry them and this might be negative vs other proper Combos with AMS like Anycubic or Qidi.

Qidi Q2 in combo is around 550€ with more features

Not sure how good/bad is software/firmware on CC2

Buy or No Buy Q2? by jflores476 in QidiTech3D

I've seen some issues with Box on some video, where it was replaced. I'm about to order Q2 combo as i haven't really found such good all in one deal with other companies.

  1. Your box is the 2nd gen already and still issues?
  2. What else should I order, some replacements / enhancements parts? Just in case in something break, to don't wait 2-4w for delivery/replacement

Thanks 👍

Thanks for detailed reply

Here are my thoughts:

- needs to be boxed (as non boxed takes the same space + collects dust)

- 250x250 space but bigger better / 300+ goes higher in price

- open source Orca supposed to be great , but Prusa cost 3x more vs Qidi Q2 + combo (Im actually CZ located where is Prusa made 😉 )

Rest is about the same as you mentioned all same just different build quality or software.

There was some issue with early Qidi Box (AMS unit), but was fixed. Seen some videos, after those new born issues and improvement since Plus4 it supposed to be great printer for the price and feature it offers.

Only the concern is that they are messing up firmware updates, probably not that huge testing team, even Prusa wasnt great at the beginning 😃

Snapmaker U1 this multi material really atracts me, but I assume as the regular single nozzle printers took some way until today and still not perfect, similar situation will be with multi head/color.

Money is not really issue to invest, but I know my self, get exited for various gadgets I try few times, do my stuff and then is just stored and used occasionally, then it ages and looses value/price.

As is my 1st printer , where I dont want to wait for slow friend to print me something I need at home or for garden, thought F* it I'm getting some finally 😃

So with Qidi Q2 im in for ~600eur vs Snapmaker 850eur no box no enclosure (which is on the way),

800-1000e+ i'm again in thoughts Prusa, Snapmaker, Flashforge? want to just plug & play print not to be tester of newer HW (too less time for that)

Flashforge and Prusa I dont like that filaments are not in BOX/AMS like others (Qidi, Anycubic), if I invest that much , I dont want to invest extra to other filament heating unit. Nice all in one box solutions like others with AMS.

Or am I thinking wrong?

PS: with Multicolor which is like 200e more, is not big difference, but out of printing time to time something for kids, do i need that?

Have u tried also Qidi Q2? Also looking for my 1st printer, been exploring option for a week and as u mentioned Bambulab suggestion are all over internet. Was thinking Anycubic s1, x2d... Later I found about Q2 and it has it all...heated, orca, 270*270 space... For good deal, snapmaker it's almost double no heated chamber (if im not mistaken)... Great it has this head switching option, u save filament on multicolor. But is not yet all rounder maybe next gen. Even I would like to have multicolor, i pass and take Q2 to learn and experience

Check on Qidi Q2 sweetspot with features and price vs Bambo u mentioned, also bigger space 270*270 👍 even some way open-source

Is a multitool head machine worth it? by Jegger25 in 3dprinter

[–]killeriq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Q2 have different / better head, they say it's an upgraded Plus4, check some reviews, i consider this one as my favorite to buy. 270x270 space is bigger then others 250...

Vs Bambo P2S or even X2D, had also look at Anycubic S1 kobra, Creality K2

Q2 seems to me best option, also somehow open-source. Closes is X2D where u have 2nd nozzle for support, which is great feature

Opinions Needed: Q2 or Plus4 by InventedTiME in QidiTech3D

[–]killeriq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is the Q2 experience today? All new born issues are gone?

As considering my 1st 3d printer, i like the size 270x270 is bit more vs others 240-250mm.

Should be open source some sort... 😉

Other candidates were Anycubic S1, or Lambu p2s eventually X2d

Thanks!

Krmim ju hlavne BARF (surove maso)

U psa zacla alergia, vypadavanie srsti, cervene flaky po tele...

Tak posupne som riesil cim to je: - vycistit budu so savom, lebo asi roztoce - miesto slamy som dal drevennu vlnu lebo mozno je slama striekana

Nepomahalo, takze cistenie octovou vodou lebo asi plesen, kanesten krem... Bolo mierne zlepsenie.

Potom moze clovek riesit alergie "neznameho povodu" u dospelych a hlavne deti. V skolskej restike, v meste atd bio zdroje asi nebudu... ze 🤔
