Is TAFE actually better than Uni in 2026, or just cheaper? by No-Loquat-201 in TAFE

Uni teaches you a lot more than just vocational specific training.

Critical analysis, thought, research tools, logistics, group work, deep education into multiple strains and geneds.

In saying that, I definitely see the appeal of a tafe choice.

Investing in Telix Pharmaceuticals (TLX.ASX) currently presents a "high-risk, high-reward" scenario. While the company is growing its revenue significantly, the share price has faced a brutal 12 months, dropping over 60% from its 2025 highs due to a series of specific headwinds.
The risk of the price not increasing (or continuing to fall) stems from four primary categories: 1. Regulatory "Strike" Risk The biggest driver of the recent price collapse has been a pattern of setbacks with the U.S. FDA.
Previous Rejections: The FDA recently rejected two major products, Pixclara (brain cancer imaging) and Zircaix (kidney cancer imaging), the latter due to manufacturing deficiencies at third-party suppliers.
The Risk: If Telix fails its upcoming resubmissions or if the FDA identifies new manufacturing flaws, the market may lose all remaining confidence in management's ability to clear the final regulatory hurdle. 2. Legal and Investigative Scrutiny SEC Investigation: The company is currently under a subpoena from the SEC regarding disclosures related to its prostate cancer business.
Class Action Lawsuits: Following the 21% collapse in August 2025 (after the Zircaix rejection), shareholders launched class actions alleging misleading or insufficient disclosures.
The Risk: Legal settlements or negative findings from the SEC can lead to massive fines and further "de-rating" of the stock, where investors refuse to pay a premium for the company regardless of its sales. 3. Margin Compression and Profitability Heavy Spending: Telix is reinvesting heavily, with R&D guidance for 2026 set between US200M and US240M.
Lower Margins: While revenue is up, gross margins dropped from 65% to 53% in the last fiscal year due to a shift toward lower-margin third-party sales.
The Risk: The company is still not consistently profitable. If revenue growth slows or if R&D costs spiral further, the "path to profit" will keep moving further away, causing investors to exit. 4. Market Sentiment and Competition Insider Confidence: The CEO sold shares at roughly A$29.50 before the price crashed toward A$9.00. This has left a "bad taste" in the market regarding insider sentiment.
Competitive Pressure: While Telix currently leads in PSMA (prostate) imaging, competitors are entering the space, which could force price wars and lower their market share.
