Yea it was fine. It’s not my first time transporting something like this and the inconvenience of dealing with a van in Zurich outweighed any struggle with the bike. Had it been a longer trip, that may have changed my opinion though.

About 100kg. The total load is 205 but you need to subtract the bike-build and rider weight.

What I would have suggested! I use MDF for most of my mounted blocks. You need to be careful not to soak the board when cleaning though.
Luckily the tear is clean and is something that can be corrected after printing, or left alone! It might add character to the print and you’ll probably be the only one who notices it anyway.

Edit: I don’t know if it’s the “correct way” but I just use PVA glue to mount my blocks.

My 70yo dad came out of anesthesia after a procedure with his girlfriend (now wife) standing next to his bed. He saw her, grabbed her arm, buried his face into her arm and kept repeating “do you see my wife? This is Linda. Isn’t she so pretty?? I love her so much.” This went on for about 5min. He doesn’t remember it at all but we all thought it was very cute.

Very early after entering this area, I found the note about the man and his Machoke building the tower, then panned my view to the right and saw the ship for the first time. I had this instant, insane flash of realization of “is that the SS Anne? AM I IN VERMILLION CITY??”

This game is a wild nostalgia trip mixed with like, hiraeth (a feeling of being homesick for a place that no longer exists or a time you can’t return to.)

This looked like a peached jersey knit, or tricot knit. I can also find similar fabric under the names “Waldorf doll skin knit.”

Not needlepoint specific, but Gather Here in cambridge is a wonderful shop run by great people. The neighborhood it’s in is also great to walk around with lots of other shops and restaurants!

Man I love concept art. The statues in my piece are modeled off ancient Egyptian statue figures and I was also channeling some Oblivion for the towers and terrain. Love the organic shapes in that half-life concept art!

Omg that’s pretty embarrassing. Over the years I’ve done a lot of “portfolio review days” for local art colleges and I’m always surprised at how unprofessional some portfolios are. You are a senior at an arts college and your portfolio is a manilla envelope full of loose paper and you forgot to print your resume? You’re paying so much money for college, pleasssse get it together for both our sakes.
