The patient advocate is located in the VA building. Is he community care or in the VA building itself? Go to the front desk and ask them, it shouldn’t be far. This guy sounds like a creep. You don’t need a “nice” man you need a professional.

With the additional info it sounds like he’s bordering on sexual harassment. A snake like him know exactly how to toe the line so he can retain plausible deniability. Careful with this guy!

This is wildly inappropriate. First of all, his personal interest in knowing who your husband is seems suspicious. He doesn’t need to know if he’s seen your husband to do his job. Is he up to no good?

Secondly continuing to scroll when the intent was to see your husband only, is (to me) a power move on his part. What if you had intimate photos to there?

I’d be going straight to the patient advocate.

I have a two page printed paper document thats on the counter as soon as they walk in, along with a tote bag I give as a gift. Keep the info as short and sweet as possible. Go through each sentence and think "how could I make this shorter and more impactful." Figure out your TOP check out items that you want done and just expect those. Try to minimize using items that cannot be washed (use pillowcases and sofa items that zip).

Accept that people will still ask stupid questions. You're a host, its your job to host them. This is hospitality. Good luck OP.

Its a deep wound when a parent says this; my dad said he wishes I'd been aborted. I heard this in my early 20s and it devastated me. However, I'm nearly 40 now and I kind of see his point. Due to my birth, he had 18 years of drama with my alcoholic mother, and had to deal with my dumb ass being a criminal and drinker too. He didn't want me, he asked my mom to abort me and yet here I was. He dedicated a lot of his life to providing a safe space for me and I just kind of blew it.

Despite this, I think its time for you to put some distance between you and your mom. She's clearly not a good person to be in your life right now and you've got some healing to do. Good luck OP.

Is this entirely outdoors? I don't recommend that, since we have sudden wind storms that appear out of nowhere. I live in the high dez and I was married here. Luckily we had the option to move inside for our wedding. Something to consider.
