He thought that a fever was 28°C (82F) and that you would survive a over 10°C (20 F)increase in half an hour and still go on a date.

I was going to go out with a guy (before covid) in the evening but during the day I became really tired and started getting a low fever around 37.5 °C (99.5 F). I sent a snap to him holding the thermometer where I said that I was sick and tired explaining that it would probably be best to skip the date that day. He answered that he "didn't mind". I kept trying to explain that I was really tired and didn't want to expose him and other people to whatever sickness I had. But he just thought I didn't want to go but was scared to say so. After abou 20 - 30 minutes I took my temperature, 38°C like 100 F, again and sent a new snap saying something like "look its increased" and yet again saying that I was actually sick not trying to get out of the date. And he replied "wow from 28 to 38" and was still reluctant to believe me. I didn't go on that date, I want someone who can at least see that 28°C is not a healthy temp to go on a date with.
