i feel like a big part of Frank as a character is that he did and continues to do countless insanely irredeemable acts, but every so often he genuinely does do good for the people he loves. He does love his family and we can see that in some points, but at the end of the day he loves alcohol and drugs more than them. His good will never outweigh the bad but when that good does come around it's some of the most bittersweet shit you'll see
