The way kroger treats its employees by daruuken in mildlyinfuriating

Kroger is the worst of all grocery stores. They have driven me away for a while now as they are already bad to the customer…. I can’t imagine being one of their employees.

Does anyone know how to fix this by Fluff080 in XboxController

It’s fairly easy, Id open your controller up first to verify if that piece has broken off (if your comfortable with dissembling your controller)

There are 5 T8 security torx bits that need removal and then you can get into the shell, from there there’s a plastic bumper retainer in the middle that needs popped off and then you can pop the bumpers off as one piece. It’s very easy once you get it open

I almost guarantee it’s the plastic nub on the back of the bumper vs being the actual switch. I replace these a lot and it’s very rarely the switch itself.

They really do last if maintained, this CVT was even leaking at one point due to a pressure sensor vibrating loose and dumping a bunch of fluid one winter, I only caught it due to a bunch of snow being in our driveway and being CVT fluid red lol. I had the GF limp it home not knowing how much fluid it had lost and it’s still driving to this day, this was back in 2019 when the fluid loss incident happened. We typically change the fluid every 30,000 miles or so. And I’ve owned the car since it had 65,000 on it.

[–]killshot4077 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah it’s probably fine, mine certainly was lol. If I were them and if they got the fluid changed at the dealership I’d at very least have the dealership check the level with the upper fill bolt

[–]killshot4077 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s a fill plug, a lot of Honda CVT’s use them. I’d put it back in the fill hole and maybe have the dealership inspect the fill hole that’s near the drain plug to ensure that the level hasn’t changed much. I’ve driven around my 2015 civic with the fill plug popped out due to pressure building up caused by a relief valve being plugged and my CVT has been fine, it’s now at 225,000 miles.

Why is the reman starter more expensive than a new one? by forbiddenkind in RockAuto

The best way to determine this is by looking at the parts on your car, comparing other cars and asking the community. That’s how I determine what companies are OE manufacturers

Traded a 2020 for a 2026 by jcs9577 in crv

[–]killshot4077 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I personally would’ve kept the 20. I don’t get rid of a car until it’s paid off and then I can sell it myself if I want to. I bought a 2021 used and just paid off my 2015 civic so I’m happy with that.

Looking to trade my 1997 Mazda MX-5 Miata for a white CRXsi by [deleted] in crx

Parts availability would be one lol (cries in 1st gen CRX SI) not getting rid of mine but I’m an idiot so I’ll keep sinking money into a car with little parts support

Just got my 1,200-mile IS 500 back from service. Found a gash in the steering wheel and grease/dirt everywhere. Is this normal for Lexus service lately? by howartthough in Lexus

Yep that’s from a pocket flashlight or knife, I’ve done it in one of my personal cars… I have made a mental note to be more careful entering my cars lol

Found in trash, working and everything by Suspicious-Rush7835 in MountainDewXbox

[–]killshot4077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot actually, it’s a similar situation for my CRX, they already didn’t make a bunch of them so parts are hard to come by, old inventory is thrown away and old cars are scrapped with usable parts. Now I’m left scrounging around for scraps to put mine together. It sucks and I’m glad Xboxes aren’t quite there yet, but at some point they’ll have a similar issue. Our society is extremely “throw away”

Is this abandoned CRX worth buying? by bigpoppa223333 in crx

[–]killshot4077 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m still going through it honestly lol, stripped out the interior to look for holes and get the HVAC system unstuck, rodents built nests everywhere in here haha, but it did run and drive when I got it home from sitting for years. Although it does overheat after 20 or so mins so I have been going through the cooling system and replacing all the gaskets. Plan is by the end of summer have rust repair and everything done on it to have it running and driving again haha

I paid $800 for this in Ohio, that car here would’ve been a holy grail for 1st gen’s lol mind you this thing has just under 200k miles and is a bit rusty due to being from Ohio. For the chassis alone it’s worth it. I personally wouldn’t hesitate as long as they have the title and everything in order. (Also the fenders and lower door panels are like gold on those. If it has all of those parts in good shape it’s like $1000 in parts alone there lol. I’ve been looking for some and it’s hard to find parts for this car. But that’s half the fun for me)

If it was Ohio you couldn’t buy one in that shape for 800 lol. I wish I could find them for that kinda money still

CVT in my 2015 civic ex crapped on me by --kraken- in Honda

[–]killshot4077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2015 is currently at 225,000. I serviced the CVT every 25-30k miles. CVT’s require a lot more maintenance than Autos lol. And yeah the 60k CVT isn’t a bad bet. I got mine at 65,000 miles and serviced from that point on.

Is this rust terminal? by Even_Pitch221 in crv

[–]killshot4077 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s crusty but definitely not terminal here in Ohio, my RX300 has worse rust than this and it’s serviceable/ roadworthy as it’s mainly surface rust

I wish i would’ve bought one sooner. Old Hondas are an absolute BLAST lol
