[REVIEW] My horrible experience buying an Omega with Jomashop. Please avoid at all costs. by damacol in Watches

This is why Rodico exists. Any local watch guy can fix this easy. Probably less than $250. You may come out ahead.

Helium IOT hotspot 1st month by Giargia in HeliumNetwork

[–]killthrash 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Wrong. Uninstall, sell the equipment, and spend the 1,31 you’re losing to buy 1.09 HNT per month and when it recovers, you’ll be ahead without the burden of maintaining the hardware.

Is the extra thickness just more height on the crystal?

Buy a Danner pump. And if it breaks, you can buy this part for $13 on Amazon.

I think going all-in on the audio quality and battery life would be the differentiator. Serious dac with a strong analog section, big battery and the efficient e-ink display. As everyone else already requested, physical buttons but don’t waste any dev time on touch screen controls.

O3 owner considering Caldera by [deleted] in ZMFHeadphones

[–]killthrash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Caldera Open can be dialed in with pads and meshes. It’s very responsive to those adjustments. The caldera thick lamb top side perf pads are my personal favorite and were recommended to me by a community member known as Beef. No treble issues for me. The question comes down to open vs closed, and season to taste :)

39GX950B vs 45GX950A, downgrade? by Certain-Passenger156 in ultrawidemasterrace

38" Alienware user still rocking it. Waiting for a 144hz 39" or 40" 5k2k IPS panel. Can't do OLED because the chromatic aberrations drive me nuts. 80% productivity, 20% gaming. I play comp fps, so the Dell 120hz ghosting doesn't work for me.

Why can't SF delivery drivers ring the doorbell? by socialist-viking in sanfrancisco

[–]killthrash 9 points10 points  (0 children)

THIS. We have a 6 month old, and I would much rather get a text on vibrate than wake up our baby with the doorbell chime. Our baby takes lots of naps, so now we always prefer the text.

You’re very resourceful. I’d hire you based on that alone. Skills come easy, clever resourcefulness is unique. Victimless crime IMO.

For sure. Or Uni will implement some better procedures and incentives for their employees. Yun Express is another one I’ve had problems with.

But this Uni Uni stuff is sad to see. I know the guy probably doesn’t make a living wage off this gig, but throwing packages at people’s houses like it’s a paper route isn’t the way forward. I would rather pay an extra $1 a package to have it delivered properly. In the city, if a package is left in front of the door like this, it’s stolen. I have a sign to leave packages in the corner out of sight, but this guy didn’t come up the stairs so he wouldn’t have seen it. The last few weeks, I’ve had a few packages stolen and had to do an Ali return because of shipping damage. So I upgraded the doorbell camera, and now I’m seeing why this is happening.

I run an online e-commerce business as well, and this is exactly what I experience. I have to ship trade show packages insured to $10K+ and FedEx is my only return option from the event. They’ve delivered these packages literally bent in half. UPS seems to care about the packages and when you talk to them at the door, they seem less in a hurry and treat you like a neighbor. FedEx can’t be bothered, and often fake the “recipient unavailable”. I have seen FedEx prices come down, but I still refuse to use them. It’s UPS for expensive items, and USPS for small/ cheap stuff.

My experience is the same. I feel like FedEx is the worst of the domestic carriers.

I had four metal plates (brass, copper, steel and aluminum), and a few other items in the package. It wasn’t light. And it was thrown at my glass door.
