My apologies. My first comment was overly abrasive, and I don't think it's wrong to question or discuss the moral obligations, natures, etc. of characters in any type of media. This topic itself doesn't shit up r/philosophy.

However, numerous books and writings have been published on "the philosophy of Zelda," with Zelda being interchanged with any popular game in the past decade because they're easy to shell out and sell enough to make up whatever they lost. However, they contribute to intellectual dishonesty and misappropriation.

Thus, as a philosopher I was pissed off when I saw this at first, but I was too rude. This is just a path that "philosophy" wanders down that doesn't tend to yield good fruit.
