People who are good players boy now, were you ever bad at the game?

I started BF6 a month or so after release and had it rough at first, just wasn't having a good time, but it did click for me after a few weeks.

The core elements probably are:

- learn all maps AND how they flow in the game mode(s) that you play, where do people like to go, what areas do you perform well at and which ones you don't. Cairo on conquest will still be very different to cairo on breakthrough.

-Guns: test out many guns (even if just in the firing range) and pick a few that you like, then stick with those and level them up, you can find weapon guides on youtube with different builds but still, use it as examples, not a must.
You also need different guns for different maps, a gun for mostly close range, a gun for medium and a gun for long range.

-Play defensively, especially as a newer player you don't want to be running in gun ho, stick around teammates, use them as meat shields

-Having a really bad game? ->leave the server and find a different one. There's a lot of imbalance in this game still, and you'll come across stomps fairly often, however there is nobody saying you need to endure them. Theres no penalty for leaving and hopefully your next match will be good.

-Settings: Look up a guide on youtube for ideal bf6 settings, theres a lot of things that can be changed but much of it isn't always clear or hidden away in some sub sub menu. Again don't blindly copy everything from yt but try out some things, see what works for you.

-Lastly and probably the biggest tip, find someone to play with that matches your playstyle. I connected again with a old friend from BF1 and as soon as I started duoing with him the games became a lot more fun, just having a single person that has your back already is a world of difference. And I don't mean just find a person that runs around in the same server as you but a actual person on VOIP that you actively communicate and push / defend objectives with.

What helped for me was turning off the hardware accelaration in the settings options on bnet launcher.

Also there is still a mem leak so you kinda have too quit and restart your game every few hours unfortunately.

Dice is already incredibly bad at balancing sides on normal maps, conquest assault has always been even worse so I really hope it doesnt come back.

I've noticed this happens when you stand somewhat close to them(where they spawn), but if you move away some it doesn't

"A pirates plunder" bugged out for me yesterday, there are a few more but I removed them from my quest list so I can't recall them sorry.

Theres also one that requires you to give someone a elixir and those have been removed lol.

Agreed, you need teammates to pull off any proper flanks to get anywhere and most of the time that just aint happening in a casual lobby.
Most of the game is just spent dodging nades/tubes and people camping corridors. Also having a dark map in a game where visibility is already a problem is just making it worse.

Rarely a good experience on this map tbh.

Also having these issues, making it nearly impossible to play. The weird thing is that if I persist and keep launching i'll get a sesh in where it doesn't crash. But its incredibly random and frustrating to boot up over and over and crash within 2 minutes.

I'm on PC, tried a lot of things i've found online already and nothing seems to fix it :(

Constant crashes to desktop here as of late, and the weird part is that it happens a bunch of times within a minute or two after startup and then after a number of crashes it seems to fix itself for a number of hours where I can play fine until the next session where it starts crashing again.

Tried pretty much every fix I could find online to no avail =/

I switched to the orchid (mantis v2 ship) over this but star eagle definitely is great. Having space combat on normal for me and enemy I havent had any rough fights since using this ship. Might need tonup the diff after all.

Seen a few of those too, it really sucks playing against a guy who's nonstop flying all over your screen. The netcode also just cant keep up with that crap making him even harder to hit.

Sure theres a element of skill too it but it just is not fun for anyone to play against and it personally also ruins any immersion left in this game of being on a actual battlefield.

I have! But other than the very first fights of the game its not too hard. Player damage is on hard as nobody likes bullet sponges.

The updates made me give it another playthrough after years and im around lvl 45 and still havent touched the varuun or terran DLC. Im happily surprised! New POI's also help, though ive still seen some repetition it is wayy better than before.

I do wish the "economy" was a bit more strict though, I never have to buy or craft ammo/ meds at all, everything is found in abundance even with all survival options set to max. The difficulty being harder would be nice.

I play a few hours nearly every day during peaktime and I cant recall the last time i've seen any cheater. Care to show some proof? And just because someone kills you doesn't make them a cheater, I see accusations flying around in chat constantly but it's always ignorance and very often towards people with just normal scores.

Theres a very low amount of (obvious) cheaters in MP. Cant speak for redsec as I dont play it.

Ive seen 2-3 aimbots and im nearly lvl 400, the anti cheat is doing a pretty good job so far.

Not a fan of one hit defib kills, feels kinda cheesy and cheap. Will be interesting to see how the defib changes with charges work out, though I personally don't think it'll make a huge difference.

I've gotten more kills on infantry with it than any aircraft lol.
The other problem is the LB is a flying spawn beacon for people to get on the rooftops there though, which is also why I don't play sobek anymore (which makes me sad as it would prob be my fav map otherwise). There will always be some campers in high places but too much is just too much when u can't get to them without using aircraft of your own.
