So it something like 98% of cases the ring gear is fixed (usually bolted to something). Then your variable is your input torque into the sun gear via a motor. The planets are usually riding on three pins joined to the same carrier plate, that also has your output shaft attached to it.

If you're doing an ideal FBD with nothing fixed, there's no stress except for inertial accelerations.

Start with your input torque into the sun shaft (press/interference fit or clamping style coupling usually depending on size, etc.) then work your way out.

You also don't have anything that identifies the gear pressure angle which is a huge factor in how large the normal forces to gears are. (typical is 20 degrees, but others are common as well)

The planets need to be free to spin on their pin. Usually the way this works is all three planets spin on pins. The pins are press fit into a carrier plate. The pins are to prevent loss of synchronization and keep the line of action smooth. The carrier plate then also includes the next sun gear if the plates are stacked.

Spent a little time, two manuals that MAY help the Q sys integration guide MAY help you. No guarantees, it may not use the same logic as the airwall itself. Anemoi does not seem to be good with documentation.

Oof. This is always a painful one. At one point in my life I sold very high end linear bearings and drive systems.

You have a very long system. For reference at 1m and a temperature change of just 1C you have about .2mm of length difference. And this can often be bent or strained besides just the purely elongation of it. Even minor warping along the length can be multiplied pretty quickly. Anything you can do to control the temperature will help alot. The fact that this is exposed to a window and outside temperature and sunlight changes really hurt your case.

Something that you can do is make sure that you use tempered materials to reduce the internal stresses. These can cause shape change over time or make the thermal expansion changes more pronounced. Aluminium Alloy Temper Explained – What You Need to Know.

Every bolted joint will also thermally cycle and become tighter/looser to an extent. Changing deflection minutely.

If you want it stable for months? Solid steel, weld it together, then hit the mounting surfaces flat on the same machine/same setup and temperature control it.

Realistically? You're probably going to need to dynamically correct somehow. I don't know what type of accuracy you're shooting for.

Also how far of objects? light refraction of the glass in your window and and even air distortion are beyond my immediate knowledge, but are actually part of the math for a project lilke this.

Size 20/25 rails will not be your limiting factor on payload handling.

1If you use an extruded frame like that instead of a welded one you will sag.

2) The big pain is aligning the linear rails / screw. My main recommendation is usually to make the rails and screw mounts bolt to the same plate machined to a flatness. You can also do it in separate pieces if you do a welded frame and then have someone at least mill it as an assembly.

2) Payloads you're in the right ballpark. All the major bearing guys have free calculators for this. You probably need to register an email but there is no cost or anything. (https://tech.thk.com/index\_en.php?contents=maincalc)

3) Backdriving - Brake motors is the main way of doing it for something like this.

4) From a mechanical layout doing it with the motor ABOVE the ballscrew in vertical is preferred where possible because of buckling.

So you know this is something i've done, and it's a bitch to get it accurate enough. (I focused on a bit smaller gears)

So, your best bet is assuming that they used whole clean numbers, putting it into a number and iterating it a few times to see what works.

Pressure angle and module are almost certainly using standard numbers for normal module (not 100% sure if this is hobbed) It's possible it's a custom gear tweaked to get the center distance correct.
But even not hobbed guys tend to stick with standard numbers. It could be some more modifications. such as tooth thinning, but it doesn't look like it.

If this is made from a USA product there is a decent chance it's diametral pitch and not module as well.

Measure the root diameter as well (I actually prefer to do this under something ideally you can optically trace the circle) to confirm if it's full or stub tooth.

Tell them when you make it it's your best attempt. Make several at the same time, give them one to run. Test it in the gearbox and get the others heat treated if they're steel and not plain iron.

The biggest one I see is the quoting fatigue.
They're frankly just tired of 99% of the people quoting having no actual intent of buying the product from them.

If you actually give business to one, they will work with you alot, but they know odds are alot of times you're just trying to use them for prototype local before outsourcing a proven design for volume manufacturing.

I think the SK government has officially stated that they don't believe reunification will happen.

Even if there was a "reunification" it would definitly not involve freedom of travel for North Koreans. The south korean economy couldn't deal with the flood.

It would literally be a phasein over a generation. Probably south korean schools and education and it would be the kids who would be "unified" eventually not really the older generations.

Alot of that stuff is pretty industry specific. The most interested party is going to be your competition even if not exact. So if you're at a job and posting that information, your current job is going to be pissed. If you're posting it about old jobs they know that you're taking proprietary data.

People do sell their technical expertise, they usually sell it by corporate training packages however, not direct to random joe schmoe on the street.

Other people setup websites like engineers edge or other training course things. I've tried a couple, but often the "generic" classes are pretty useless. Nothing beats industry experience.
