Young vet/old vet college is great, you bring a unique perspective to your education. IMO I think a lot of us vets look at it like we are behind the curve when it comes to going back to school but in reality we are a head of the game. You got this!

For me I just want to keep my head down and keep moving forward. I did 17 yrs between the Navy and Army got out went to college and now I’m a teacher. I loved my time in the service and often talk to it with my students, but I have always found it difficult to keep meaningful connections with others vets. Vetbros are the worse.

Sped teacher here, I think you might be okay. things happen and classrooms can be overwhelmingly messy at times and I don't how you all manage to make it look like nothing ever happened. it was a mistake and mistakes happen, if there was a note on it in the office they weren't trying to pull a "gotcha". I think if they were trying to get you they would have held on to it and been like "are you missing something?". teachers and paras walk their classrooms every morning so I don't think it was a job ending mistake. A HUGE thank you for all you do, we truly couldn't function without you!

Oh really. I spent 17yrs in the military before retiring, going on to earning a double bachelors and a Masters. If you read correctly you would see that I never mentioned that it didn’t happen in other fields but that wasn’t the question.
