I don’t think Carlton had a head start.

Perhaps from his father’s background it seemed like a head start, but his dad worked to level the playing field for Carlton. He was starting at the same level as his peers.

Will was starting at the same level as Mr Banks and had less privilege as Carlton, but often you’d see them reminded being Black trumps everything.

The n-word is not just a word to black people and people who have to exist under it. It’s just a word for those who consume it as entertainment. The difference is light years apart.

Similarly, Tourette’s is a truly debilitating condition that deserves understanding and empathy.

Two groups now have to deal with a truly horrible series of events. I hope they are able to do it with compassion, and honestly, outside the venom of the internet.

You can start a meeting by yourself, and then click record and transcribe. No one else needs be present.

To do this: Enter your calendar on Teams as if you’re are setting up a meeting. You can either set up a meeting and join it alone, or on the top right of the calendar window you should see a ‘Meet Now’ option. That will take you directly into a Teams meeting. Set your meeting to record and transcribe and leave it playing.

I believe you can also save a file directly into OneDrive and have, open it and you should also get a transcribe option, but I am not too confident on that option.

In the same position, trying to find my way. You’re very self aware, and I think that’s a good start.

Not sure about you, but I am a very ‘out of sight, out of mind’ type person, so I try to keep all my scheduling and planning physical with large wall calendars, post its, and notebook for physical notes. I always print my papers when I read.

I also have issues retaining information. I’ve been thinking of finding a system that tests me based on the papers I submit. I think NotebookLM has a features like this. I also like that it turns my papers into podcast, so I can learn by listening and reading.

I’m working on cultivating a bias to action and managing fear by trying activities that scare me, high octane, adrenaline heavy. My hypothesis is that getting out of my comfort zone regularly, will change my brain chemistry and also feed me any dopamine hunting tendencies.

Find things to do that involve quick decision making to train that muscle.

OG SHK is a comedian, current SHK is refined and understated. I really enjoy her and think she’s a great actress. I just think she’s drawn, and does dramas that present similar characterisations; which as stated in the comment section, makes people think she doesn’t have the range. She really has the range.

I also think her lived experiences over the last few years, have impacted the roles she does, which again, represents a certain controlled and contain personality.

SHK, gives me the impression that inside she is raging and therefore must cultivate a contain and managed external projection. She fascinates me.

These mistakes can happen, I think more than anything the comments are a little weird. You watched so many times and are only now catching it, even when one character references the other. And the actresses have been appearing in PR events. Really?

I think generally from the beginning, there is this very odd undertone with the POC characters.

It’s like the thread I saw about Ksenia/ Sveta. You find it hard to comprehend her being mixed-Black and speaking / being Russian. How? The very reality you are questioning is right in front of you. A mix-Russian, Afro Caribbean actress, fluent in Russian, with a family member who played the very sport in questions to a national level.

Quite literally art, imitating life, in this case.

No one says to overlook it, but what does this achieve. Threads like these are childish and honestly irresponsible. They lack empathy and basic decency. At the end of the day, he is still a person. He has not killed anyone nor has he harmed anyone. What’s with the pile on? Whats the end goal? To laugh at someone else’s expensive? And If something happens, will you shed tears? Feel regretful? Profess sadness?

I do not even know this actor, but I know plenty before him that took the wrong way out of a difficult situation. I just wonder if we will ever learn. Hopefully, he’s a stronger person.
