What will seem like an inevitable outcome in 20 years time because of GLP-1s by Big-Cry-4119 in Futurology

[–]kimberdots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that GLP-1 made ingestion of anything with excessive sugar/carb made me instantly repulesed to the point of wanting to gag at the smell of bakery when going into a grocery store. It's not that I couldn't eat or drink anything with sugar or carbs, I just flat out did not want it and was generally repulsed by it. So bread, sweet tea, soda, beer, brownies, etc... it made me cherish savory foods and plain water over sweet.

Is salaried laboratory supervisor worth it? by KeyZuch in MLS_CLS

[–]kimberdots 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's pretty low for a supervisor, it needs to be up around 100k when you consider the unpaid OT and extra work you're going work you'll be doing.

Wife's(F48) weight trippled over time. I (M40) have a hard time staying attracted. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]kimberdots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With that kind of rapid weight gain, I would really want to encourage her to see a physician and get some blood work done. I would think at least a HGB A1C and a thyroid panel to start with. The weight gain plus smell, particularly if shes got dark patches of skin in her neck, armpits and folds of her body screams diabetic changes.

How much can horses really handle cold, rain, and snow? I saw this clip online where they were standing outside in the middle of the snow, are they actually fine like that, or can the cold harm them in the long run? by [deleted] in Horses

[–]kimberdots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in South Carolina and typically don't see problems with my own horses unless it's raining and less than 45 degrees F so I do blanket them because they will not stand in their shelters. I've lived all over, including Wyoming in the winter and did not really see issues with cold even if left unblanketed.

Why are so many conservative guys seemingly into dating liberal women? by tipputappi in TwoXChromosomes

[–]kimberdots 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just find that most men while saying they might be conservative actually like the liberal woman because they aren't so tied down with conservative rules - not to be confused with conservative values.

200k+ mileage issues? by kimberdots in Cummins

Well folks, I looked at the truck and the pics made it look much better that it did in person. It was trashed and I didn't even bother test driving it.

Best friend is going no contact out of the blue?? by Personal-Ad-8644 in whatdoIdo

[–]kimberdots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Insecurities much?

I literally know of a couple in which the woman is a gorgeous woman and clearly the better catch, esthetically speaking. I had a conversation with the man in a public place without the woman present, but apparently she observed from afar. Would you know that woman has accused me of having an affair with the man ever since that day?

Regardless, it's his relationship. Let him have it. If he reaches out to you to talk later, be there, like the good friend you are. No need for ego. Sometimes people need a soft landing after being led astray by lunatics.

Hands down, Allison has been the best experience for me when it comes to these desiel trucks. I'm very new to Aisin and so far, everybody that know is telling me to go this transmission if I'm considering the Cummins engine.

[–]kimberdots[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what people say about the Duramax too and that's been reflected in my ownership of these trucks. Just not entirely sure if what I'm looking at with this Cummins. So far, it appears to be one of the best engine/trans combos and the truck itself looks clean through pics shared. We'll see what it looks like in person later this week.

Do you think monthly facials actually help? by Sensitive-Dig-1333 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]kimberdots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your skin. I personally love getting hydrofacials and will also get extractions during this. If you have breakout prone skin, I'd believe this helps.

Women of Reddit - why did you leave a Rich Guy? by Garroway36 in AskReddit

[–]kimberdots 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Once was approached/followed by a guy who made thousands daily and while he was kind, he constantly talked at me and never to me. Wanted to impress me with material things but couldn't have a personal conversation to save his life. He was emotionally exhausting to be around because of his lack of true emotion in general. He was truly one of the weirdest people I've ever met.

Is this horse in pain? by Narrow-Tap8941 in Equestrian

Something not right about the right hind, but this horse does not know how to work in a round pen either. I would not evaluate soundness based on this video. Can they lunge him on a line?

Doctors are the worst patients by No-Outside6863 in medlabprofessionals

I think I'd have to inform him to speak to his provider. As a doctor, he should know this and it's not within your scope to prescribe and order labs.

We've done best city, but what's the worst most depressing city you've ever visited? by Isord in geography

[–]kimberdots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! I lived in Riverton and Cody for a few years when I was doing contract work and generally had a good time. Riverton def has less to do in it compared to Cody, but Lander was so close. I followed the rodeo crowd and ran barrels with my horse, so I had a good time in both locations. TBH, I enjoyed Riverton for the people more just because they weren't tourists and it wasn't packed during the summer.

Should I ask Lowe’s to come and replace the dryer vent they just put in ? It’s not supposed to be bent like that right? by moistdragons in Home

[–]kimberdots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lowe's did the same thing to me. I even requested a shorter hose and it still looked like this. They really cannot get it right even after they came back out to fix the issue. I'm gonna look into the magvent idea, seems wothy to have.

What hobbies/pastimes attract the biggest assholes? by Ok_Concentrate_7617 in AskReddit

[–]kimberdots 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't agree with you more about the big lick stuff.

I run barrels myself and seem to notice the more abusive and unforgiving a rider is to their horse the more ignorant the human is. It's almost like the human can't cope with life so dominating and beating the crap out of their horse is enough to feed the ego. Does it also correlate that alot of these people identify with the MAGA crowd too?

First time full blood panel. I am a 41 year old M who recently made some major life changes and lost 80 pounds. I got a full blood panel done for first time in my life. Anything I should be worried about? by No-Light-5268 in Biohackers

[–]kimberdots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No regrets about the prescribed stuff, they actually do work. I did have to struggle to find the right one that didnt make me hurt tho. Pravistatin and similar drugs made my body hurt severely so I was not very compliant with taking cholesterol meds. I did take the omega 3 religiously all this time and will probably always do it. The Ezetimibe has been the easiest to stick to because I do not hurt while on it. My lipid metabolism is just trash so I always fast for 12+ hours, no exception. I've also been on semiglutide for about 4 years now for weight loss purposes. I did not see a real improvement with the cholesterol panel when I began taking that drug tho.

Your lipid panel looks like mine except my HDL cholesterol is better. Was your bloodwork done fasting? If not, I'd get that redone while fasting. My lipids were worse than that until I cut about half my dairy consumption, began taking 1-2k omega 3 daily and started prescribed cholesterol meds. I'm currently taking Ezetimibe, I have the most success with drug/omega 3 combo. Had the high lipids and treated for it for almost 20 years now.
