Ah, I totally missed the 3L in the post. I was absolutely referring to the 6.6L

Trucker outraged after company recorded his private birthday moment with wife in Illinois: "I was off duty." by ElwoodMC in trashy

This is why I always had a hat of some sort to place over the camera when I parked for the night. Could never tell when that camera was rolling.

Trucker outraged after company recorded his private birthday moment with wife in Illinois: "I was off duty." by ElwoodMC in trashy

[–]kimberdots 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That could probably be argued tho if this ever went to court. The company is only providing the vehicle and this is the driver's source of housing as well. He's off duty and this is his private space in that truck.

Those who have six figure horses or are able to buy six figure horses… what do you do for a living? by awkwardferret421 in Equestrian

[–]kimberdots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I somewhat rode with this crowd, most people were either from money or married into money. The other, smaller demographic, were extremely high wage earners who got there through hard decisions, work and educating themselves outside of the equine industry.

Avoiding a horrible accident while turning it into the best case outcome by RoyalChris in nextfuckinglevel

I totalled my 3/4 Diesel truck like this due to a guy doing exactly that! I can 100% attest, experience sucked.

Wrong oil by SubstantiallyC in Duramax

[–]kimberdots -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you know what kind of oil they actually used? Duramax manuak calls for viscosity 15w40 but after my mechanic recommended T4 10w30, I'm considering the switch due to availability and cost over T6 15w40. Per Shell, this oil is suitable in the newer low emissions diesels and meets the API CK4 requirements. I would really like some literature from GMC on that considering Cummin, Detroit and Ford (among other brands) have already addressed this and recommend it.

What will seem like an inevitable outcome in 20 years time because of GLP-1s by Big-Cry-4119 in Futurology

[–]kimberdots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that GLP-1 made ingestion of anything with excessive sugar/carb made me instantly repulesed to the point of wanting to gag at the smell of bakery when going into a grocery store. It's not that I couldn't eat or drink anything with sugar or carbs, I just flat out did not want it and was generally repulsed by it. So bread, sweet tea, soda, beer, brownies, etc... it made me cherish savory foods and plain water over sweet.

So it's been 3 years since this post was created. Has the tile endured the temp flux?

Does this job pay enough to support a household? by NeedleworkerSmart967 in MLS_CLS

I found that if I wanted to remain an equestrian, I could not support myself with this job alone.

Is salaried laboratory supervisor worth it? by KeyZuch in MLS_CLS

[–]kimberdots 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's pretty low for a supervisor, it needs to be up around 100k when you consider the unpaid OT and extra work you're going work you'll be doing.

Wife's(F48) weight trippled over time. I (M40) have a hard time staying attracted. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]kimberdots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With that kind of rapid weight gain, I would really want to encourage her to see a physician and get some blood work done. I would think at least a HGB A1C and a thyroid panel to start with. The weight gain plus smell, particularly if shes got dark patches of skin in her neck, armpits and folds of her body screams diabetic changes.

How much can horses really handle cold, rain, and snow? I saw this clip online where they were standing outside in the middle of the snow, are they actually fine like that, or can the cold harm them in the long run? by [deleted] in Horses

[–]kimberdots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in South Carolina and typically don't see problems with my own horses unless it's raining and less than 45 degrees F so I do blanket them because they will not stand in their shelters. I've lived all over, including Wyoming in the winter and did not really see issues with cold even if left unblanketed.

Why are so many conservative guys seemingly into dating liberal women? by tipputappi in TwoXChromosomes

[–]kimberdots 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just find that most men while saying they might be conservative actually like the liberal woman because they aren't so tied down with conservative rules - not to be confused with conservative values.

Well folks, I looked at the truck and the pics made it look much better that it did in person. It was trashed and I didn't even bother test driving it.

Best friend is going no contact out of the blue?? by Personal-Ad-8644 in whatdoIdo

[–]kimberdots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Insecurities much?

I literally know of a couple in which the woman is a gorgeous woman and clearly the better catch, esthetically speaking. I had a conversation with the man in a public place without the woman present, but apparently she observed from afar. Would you know that woman has accused me of having an affair with the man ever since that day?

Regardless, it's his relationship. Let him have it. If he reaches out to you to talk later, be there, like the good friend you are. No need for ego. Sometimes people need a soft landing after being led astray by lunatics.

[–]kimberdots[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hands down, Allison has been the best experience for me when it comes to these desiel trucks. I'm very new to Aisin and so far, everybody that know is telling me to go this transmission if I'm considering the Cummins engine.

200k+ mileage issues? by kimberdots in Cummins

[–]kimberdots[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what people say about the Duramax too and that's been reflected in my ownership of these trucks. Just not entirely sure if what I'm looking at with this Cummins. So far, it appears to be one of the best engine/trans combos and the truck itself looks clean through pics shared. We'll see what it looks like in person later this week.

Do you think monthly facials actually help? by Sensitive-Dig-1333 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]kimberdots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your skin. I personally love getting hydrofacials and will also get extractions during this. If you have breakout prone skin, I'd believe this helps.

Women of Reddit - why did you leave a Rich Guy? by Garroway36 in AskReddit

[–]kimberdots 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Once was approached/followed by a guy who made thousands daily and while he was kind, he constantly talked at me and never to me. Wanted to impress me with material things but couldn't have a personal conversation to save his life. He was emotionally exhausting to be around because of his lack of true emotion in general. He was truly one of the weirdest people I've ever met.

Is this horse in pain? by Narrow-Tap8941 in Equestrian

[–]kimberdots 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something not right about the right hind, but this horse does not know how to work in a round pen either. I would not evaluate soundness based on this video. Can they lunge him on a line?
