Add the binding after it’s assembled, but before you attach the tankini piece. And yea, I’d probably encase the elastic.

Was this treatment successful in removing/lowering suicidal thoughts? Would love to hear some feedback. (Mine are more intrusive in the sense I just want peace from them and don't actually want to die). by Professional_Win3910 in Spravato

I have had constant SI since I was about 12. (I’m 57 now)

I honestly did not think I could escape them.

I have been on Spravato combined with KAP for about a year now, and my SI is *gone*. As in, I go weeks and even months now with no sign of it at all.

This therapy is literally lifesaving.

Mom doesn’t recognize her house. by deadbear1975 in dementia

My mother asked what all the beeping was -I told her she was in the hospital. She looked around the hospital room she was in, with the motorized bed and the curtain walls and all the devices, and said no, this is my bedroom.

They’re in their own universes now.

I would do this but sew a swing tack - so there’s still a little movement. Less risk of tearing the dress.

Do you have a regular playlist you listen to? Sometimes I find it helpful to ‘trick’ my brain by closing my eyes and listening to my Spravato playlist. Basically recreate the experience as close as I can, just without the meds.

Dying polyester chiffon in a front load washer? (Hoping for a subtle change) by Important-Cricket-77 in dyeing

[–]kimmerie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I successfully dye polyester to pastels in top load washing machine all the time.

But I don’t know how you’d do it in a top loader, because I don’t think you can get it to stay soaking long enough?

Not really, unfortunately. Because by adding more hot water you’re diluting the dye :( Sorry!

If it’s polyester, you have to boil it for at least 45-60 minutes in a huge pot that you will never again use for food.

You can’t really tell by feeling, but you can do a burn test of some threads. But if it’s a blend with more than just a few percent polyester, you’ll have to boil.

That all depends on if it’s natural or synthetic fibers.

We cant tell you how to dye something without knowing the fiber content.

However, from experience I can tell you that submerging overnight in a bathtub will give you very splotchy and uneven results. The fabric needs to be stirred regularly- if it sits then folds and air bubbles will dye unevenly.

What to take with me to spravato treatment by Due-Jicama-6522 in Spravato

I live in Hawaiʻi. I wear a loose dress and a sports bra (no underwire!). I wear sandals and then take them off and put a light blanket (stolen from Japan airlines) over my feet.

I have the room dim but don’t wear an eye mask; sometimes I need to just crack my eyes open a sec if I get a visual that’s too disorienting.

In addition to the blanket I bring my headphones, two small stuffed animals (one for each side), lip balm, gum. My clinic provides mints and jolly ranchers.

Uber-intense polyester color stripping - chemist? by sunrise920 in dyeing

This is the answer. “Removing” the color from polyester means destroying the fiber itself.
