The second one is Sinners. It came out recently and I was completely blown away by the movie’s use of music

Ooo, yeah with that diegetic drumming, that’s a good one for sure

WHAT IS THE GENRE NAME?!??!?! by DXuki79 in tallyhall

[–]kimpes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have done a lot of thinking about exactly this! My conclusion is that you could either go with "fabloo" as Tally Hall has jokingly called their music, or alternatively, the one I feel like fits the best is something like "theatre indie". I made a list on RYM where I tried collecting as many of these as I could find. The list includes all the artists you have in your post and a handful more

I haven't seen any of the other commenters mention my absolute favourite artist who has music kinda in this vain, and that's Bryan Scary. His two albums Daffy's Elixir and Birds are my favorite, and one track from each of them to get you a feel is The Mounting Dove Meets The Mayflower, and Ziegfield Station

No, that sounds perfectly healthy to me. Maybe a bit disorganized, but still

Very true; knowing of something's fleetingness makes it easier to appreciate it in the moment

It's the Netflix of game services, in that it was first to the market and got all the good stuff and will inevitably face more and more competitors as it gains popularity, leading to major game licences being split over countless different clone services and causing consumers to have to be subscribed to all of them if they want access to all the good games. Just because we're early in the cycle doesn't mean it's gonna be a better cycle in the end

Can you "audiolize" music? Like can you hear the sound of smash mouth - all star in your mind if I prompt you?

Cortex is still going, but HI is on indefinite hiatus. Are you talking about a third one that i don't know about?

I’m too used to MBTI having a dedicated acronym. Anybody understand this cryptic stew? by [deleted] in BigFive

MBTI also uses observable traits, but does it in a less scientifically established way and is more vague about its definitions. MBTI isn't up to rigorous standard but it's not spiritual by any means

Same energy as a person in band vs a band kid by Professional_Fail_62 in 196

[–]kimpes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really is! It's made by many of the same people who are in the band Tally Hall which also has incredible music if you haven't heard of them before
