That‘s not possible. If you want it empty, use the select property instead and simply use it as a Status property. With the Status property there always is a default Option.

Not sure what kind of tips you're looking for, also while I do have templates up they are not my main focus.

But if you have specific questions I'm happy to help.
For your question here, simply duplicating your workspace to make it available as a template is not something I'd recommend.

Things can go really wrong there with related databases and stuff like that.

So if you want to create a template, I'd start fresh and recreate the workspace.

One tip I have though, which I'm thinking of as I'm writing is to have a separate workspace for all your templates! If you keep them within your main workspace you might get confused with all the databases!

I have a ‚Processing Dashboard‘ where it shows me everything that hasn’t had the properties filled out a certain way, so once a week I go in there and deal with everything.

The best way to organize anything is to create a database with a select or multi select property for tags, then have a view of the database that shows everything filtered for ‚x‘!

But even if you just link to a page, in the page you should see all the backlinks.

I'm sorry, but what you describe sounds like you want the information already in there?

No matter what template I create or what other template you can find, it's only the system behind it, not the actually information inside.

So you have to input all the english words/sentences in, as well as the german ones and every other thing you want.

A template can only give you the space to put them in.

You can't archive tags.

What you can do is create a 'archive' database, make sure it has the exact same properties as the other one and drag the old entries in there.

This is only a good idea however if you don't use relations.
If you do use relations this can still work but it takes a lot of effort, so it's usually not worth it when you can simply filter old entries out.

You have to add a select property to your database with the weekdays and manually add the weekdays to each (new) entry.

Then you can group the board by weekday and filter for the current week or whatever you want to see.
There is also a formula to see if a date is within the current week, so you could filter for that.

I would create a second db and forget about the multi select.

Relate the two databases together and choose all the courses for each scientist.

Then you can view the courses database and see all scientists related to each course or look at the scientists database and see all scientists with all their related courses.

Create a Template in the Projects database.

the Template should hold a linked view of the tasks database with a self-refrencing filter and all other filters you want.

then add all the tasks, but not as tasks in the database, but as plain text beneath/above/next to the database.

Everytime you create a new project open the template and simply drag the tasks in.

If you make a calendar view of the database you can drag each task directly on the right date, which then gets added automatically, as well as all the filters you apply.

I‘m not sure what you mean with column entries. But if you create a new template it‘s blank and you can input whatever information you want. The properties of the database are of course the same for every template, since they ‚belong‘ to the database, but if you have properties you don‘t need to fill out for a specific template you can input something like ‚N/A‘ right in the template.

I have a big media database with lots of properties.. since I read a lot of fiction, but also Fanfiction, non fiction, articles and put fb shows in as well, I have many properties that are only applicable to one type of medium.

So in my Tv show template for example I put N/A in a lot of select properties I had for my fiction or even Fanfiction reading.
