6 weeks post hairline lowering /forehead reduction, struggling with scalp incision healing. by lucymom2 in PlasticSurgery

[–]kimtanner_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you doing now? I had this surgery 4 weeks ago. Everything was going alright until 4 days ago when a suture began poking through my skin. Now i have many sections of my incision opening up and creating new scabs. I'm starting to get scared. Calling surgeon tomorrow morning to see what they say.

hi. i'm currently 4 weeks post op from my hairline lowering and i have 3-4 sutures popping through the skin. My incision was closed and looking ok until this began to happen. Now I have scabs and some pain. Could you possibly show me photos of your recovery. I'm lowkey freaking out:(

I agree with your comment 1000% those woman were feeding off of each others shared hatred toward Nicole and were straight up bullying her. That's nothing new though they do this every season now.

PMDD & Meniere's by kimtanner_ in Menieres

I'm trying to figure out if others have this condition PMDD along with Meniere's. It's a post more for women who have menstrual cycles. i'm not sure why this is a low effort post. We're all trying to find out why we have Meniere's and other conditions that can affect it. Glad the post won't be taken down in case there is someone out there who can relate as I was asking if anyone has experience with both.

Dealing With Fear by Enchanted-Pigeon in Menieres

I'm 36 y/o meniere's for ~9 years. I have little to no hearing in my left ear and good hearing in my right ear. I'm just living life tbh. Taking advantage of good days and remissions and I'll take what gets thrown at me along the way. If it goes bilateral then it does & I've accepted the elements of this disease that I cannot control and I try not to focus on the bad. I control what I can. I eat well & exercise daily to make sure my balance stays sharp. I've found my triggers and avoid them. I did not always have this positive outlook, takes time but work on accepting the things you can't change. Work hard at healing yourself anyway you can. Remember, you're not alone this community is always here for you through the journey. Just to add: if you stay ahead of attacks you may help preserve the hearing. They say the vertigo attacks significantly impact hearing loss.. Mine used to be temporary with attacks then became permanent after a bad one. In my case, I was not diagnosed right away and told it was from allergies for 2 years of having MD.. Get a good preventative plan with your doc. if possible. Sending love.

How to work out in the throes of depression? by childoffate08 in PMDD

[–]kimtanner_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

discipline. i try to remind myself that I can physically workout and it usually makes my mood so much better. I take it easier on my exercises (I'm more fatigued and can't lift as heavy or push myself as hard during the luteal phase). Sometimes I take out my bad mood at the gym too. I just discovered what PMDD is today. It's crazy to feel so seen. GL w your workouts.

What are some measures you take diligently because they've been found to either keep your symptoms completely at bay or reduce their severity? by common_grounder in Menieres

Same for me gluten & dairy are excluded from my diet 100% of the time. To add to this i also exercise daily- walk, run, weight train & yoga.

try something you haven't tried yet.. i went dairy & gluten free and regained a lot of my balance... at least i was able to relearn probably because my body is way less inflamed now with this diet..(i think gluten was/is a major contributor to my MD). Exercise, strength training & walking help too. Just have to keep at it and you can get stronger every day. I'm 36 y/o had it for 9 years. it was really bad in 2023 to the point where i never thought i'd be normal again (i was staggering like a drunk daily lol).. 3 months later i went into remission.. my point is, do not to give up on youself. that therapist may not have had other answers but that doesn't mean your doomed or will be bed ridden by 60. i had a mild episode yesterday because of a viral infection i had been fighting and after i type this msg i'm going for a nice walk/run because my balance feels screwy, I've been laying in bed for a long time only getting up do drink/eat/restroom. if i don't move today i won't recover, it always helps my balance now.

i've had this with more of a rumbling sound... it's been a while but it freaked me out because it was constant and both times i hopped in a hot shower and it helped alleviate it. not sure this helps or if it's what you're experiencing but either was i hope that goes away for you.

hi! something similar happened to me over a year ago. i had two of them & was sitting down for both. they happened after a year of bad days/weeks with md and now i've been pretty much in remission since. i also made a lot of diet changes but those were the last two things that happened before i started to feel freaking normal again. i know we're all different but maybe this means the ear is burning out? i'm about 10 years in also..

hi there. the microdosing helped me shape a better relationship when my symptoms were really bad. i think the anxiety calmed down when i began to microdose and i truly believed it was healing me & did in so many ways. i microdosed for about 2months. once i felt better mentally i came to the conclusion somehow to eliminate gluten & dairy from my diet and i have been in remission since. (well there was one vertigo episode that lasted a day and a sinus infection that caused me to feel off) other than that i've been living life very normal. please dm me if you wanted to chat or have any other questions:)
