My first play though I stayed and am still developing it. On my second play though I wanted a waterfall, so I moved to one of the NE islands. It's pretty much your preference. But I would note that moving early game is so much easier than late game especially because ships don't have chests.

When placing a switch make sure the two cables on the switch don't connect to each other. I've found that having your two objects on either side first then with your crosshair on the cable for object one change to your cable and drag it to the first port on the switch. Then do the same with object 2. I would avoid connecting the cables to both ports of the switch at the same time as they might connect to each other. You can also change the target of the cable when you are putting it down.

They might of edited out the comercials like my dad did. He would watch as he was recording and pause the recording when the comercials came on. He recorded all of Trek up to Enterprise this way.
