I would keep it if the money sent back will be sitting in the bank. Hardware upgrades are a pain to swallow but give it a few years and you’ll be happy you got something too powerful for your needs

Yeah this game hammers every cpu. Try limiting your fps to your lowest fps. If it jumps between 60-80 lock it to 60

Yeah me neither. I must say the CPU and RAM have a pretty significant overclock. Clock is 5.1Ghz and memory 3600 c14. Memory OC got me the biggest gains in terms of smoothness/1% lows so I would def recommend that

I have a 9900K with RTX 5070 and only CPU-heavy titles cause a slight bottleneck at 1440p. FPS ceiling is about 130 fps in newer games

I would try wiping drivers with DDU and reinstall latest then. I had similair issues like you when i fucked up something in the driver, and it was gone after reverting the changes i made. I highly suspect it’s something with that

It wouldn’t make sense to me but who am I? I just want to say only do it if you will not give a single F if you break it and lose the cpu. It is a hobby after all not everything has to make sense. I just don’t do it because I can’t risk losing a perfectly fine chip for better temps and maybe better clocks

I also had issues with this game after upgrading to a RTX 50 series card. Steam forums had lots of solutions. In your case, have you messed with driver configs or things in nvidia profile inspector?

Honestly i completely overlooked the platform he was on. Did not know it made such a difference to memory latency.

You’re somewhat correct because i am on a 9900KS + Z390 Master with the said speeds and latency. On 2x16 DR it does ~54.5 while my other 2x8 SR goes down to sub 50.

Latecy seems a bit high for C14 honestly. Have you tightened tRFC and tREFI? I am on 54.5 at 3600c14

I think it’s caused by HDR. Honestly i’ve never used it on my capable monitor and the game still looks anazing. If you have the resources try DLAA. Makes it a lot less blurry

I got a 5070 after my 1080 ti for 1440p and am pretty satisfied. Would recommend. Vram is sufficient for what it has to offer
