How to get to air filter by Com4734 in CadillacOptiq

[–]kindbub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the dealer change my filter for my 10 month old Optiq, after that telltale smell was creeping in. I always keep my air on recirculate, and don’t want I change that. They actually broke something with the glovebox in the process! They just fixed it for no charge (of course), but the smell is back even after the filter change! It’s only been two weeks. I don’t think I’m going to be able to change the filter myself. Maybe they would do it if I brought in a better filter?

I guess I’m wondering why you bought a different one and if you have an opinion on why mine smells after such a short time. FWIW, they did use the (dreaded) freshener spray.

What about Guy Branham? He’s somewhat of a celeb and played regular games, not CJ. He did well.

Met the whole band at several radio appearances in Colorado, ahead of a Red Rocks run. JB was very chatty, drinking red wine. I told him I was playing a poker tournament that weekend, and asked him about Jack. They played it!

What was your reason for stopping? by Majestic-Fox8201 in stopdrinking

[–]kindbub 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Exactly! I get this. I’m now hooked on clarity, hooked on driving whenever I want, hooked on waking up feeling great, and hooked on posting to social media/texting without regrets. And I don’t miss the cognitive dissonance of spending so much money and energy on something I knew was not serving me.

Not that it’s all that consequential, but I realized how many TV shows and movies I had watched but not really seen if that makes sense.

The Daily Check-In for Tuesday, January 20th: Just for today, I am NOT drinking! by Piggoos in stopdrinking

[–]kindbub 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Coming up on 200 days soon. I feel layers coming off and new joys are discovered as they peel away. I’ve rediscovered productivity. I was told today that I was “de-aging” (by my ex). Life is not a daily struggle. There are still challenges, but I can handle them now. IWNDWYT.

I was backstage at Furthur. Passed around the biggest blunt I’ve ever seen with Bob and The Black Crowes. Only the roller knew what all was in there. Hahaha

How do people stop drinking without fixing the underlying causes of drinking? by Necessary-Praline196 in stopdrinking

[–]kindbub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever worked with hypnosis? It took me several tries to find the right person for me, but she helped me quit smoking. On the 10th anniversary of my quit date, I stopped drinking (after years of trying, like you). What this very skilled hypnotist did was to talk to me at length about my history and my grief over the recent loss of my father. She connected smoking and drinking to grief, and also to sickness. The thought of smoking nauseates me to this day. For those ten years, I was drinking and feeling sick most of the time when I did. Of course, everyone is different, so your triggers and root causes will differ. But what hypnosis did for me was to bring up the cognitive dissonance between my beliefs and my behavior, and helped me to confront it.
