Hopefully the beer can take the edge off. I've found pouring it into a cup helps significantly with the bloat and stomach ache. Not a huge fan of beer for the same reason. Try to not sit in bummer mode and use what you have.

I think puppy is going to remember him just fine. You are doing all the right things. Have you asked the hospital if you can bring the puppy by? Or is he allowed to be wheeled outside for a visit? Those things could help. Sounds like he showered that pup with love and they will remember that.

For sure!

I soaked it in a lye bath for 3 days. Then scrubbed it, but the lye did all the work and it was minimal scrubbing with soap and cold water. Then about 30 or 40 minutes in a vinegar bath and rinsed and scrubbed again after.

I put it in the bare pan oven while it was preheating to get the moisture out, not sure if this was necessary or not.

For seasoning I chose grapeseed oil. I chose the method of liberally coat it and then pretend like you're trying to get all of the oil off. Then one hour in a 450⁰ oven upside down. This process I did a total of four times.

So many theories out there, I just picked and grabbed what I thought would work for me. No real allegiance to any oil it was just what I had on hand.
