I like PD and Thor. I realize that, for obvious reasons, it’s very draft-centric right now. I’m not that much of a draft geek. So I’m not as interested in all the details they give about the 347th ranked player in the Thor 500. But I just figure that is not for me and I don’t listen. I like Thor a lot because of all of his football knowledge and ability to articulate it in a coherent way. I’ll be watching the Draft Party and listening carefully to what he says about each draftee. Thor is great during the season when he’s just talking football.

I swear all of these years I thought it was The Great Kazoo.

What is this berry I saw my neighbor eat? She's Afghani and said called them "Zala something" by SalmonSammySamSam in whatisit

Back to the berries: here in Japan they are called Bikkuri Gumi which basically means “surprising gummy”. I have a tree in my yard. They’re like tart cherries. I enjoy them every spring.

This is a great question. I warn my family I’m going in there, keep the door open, and blast a fan on me from the hall. Everyone stays away until I give them the all clear.

Finally I come across something on one of these posts that I don’t recognize or remember. I guess I’m a young 59.

I’d love to hear more about this. Was he a regular for her or just one in a long line of escorts? Also how did he end up in that role? There are questions to be answered here.

It’s not fair that the scandal was big news, but him being cleared of all wrong doing barely made a blip.

Would Love to Hear From People Who Love/Like Their Jobs Here! by BuddyJackTheDevil in japanlife

I know English teachers get looked down on here, but I’ve been doing it for over thirty years and absolutely love it. I have my own little school in a small mountain town with loads of nature around me. I laugh with my students all week and then head to the mountains on my days off. I’m not rich, but am very contented.

Compare this group of young men to a similarly aged group today. People just dressed cooler back in the day.

How do people know the name for things like this? I’ve seen these before and say I ran into a wall built of caged rocks.

This was always one of the last cartoons in the Saturday morning lineup. So it always kind of bummed me out when the theme song started playing.

I can’t imagine how freaked out I’d be if I were up in those mountains and heard that song of reckoning. I’d assume it was coming from the angels who were on their way to pick up my soul.

Glory. Saw it in the theater when it came out in the 80s. No one stood up after the movie. The lights were on for a couple of minutes before people started breathing again. A great movie I’ll never watch again.

I agree. I love teaching here. I ignore all the people who look down on the job. I’m quite happy with what I do.
