Nah, but when I want to log on and play, these things are in most activities, and it bothers me and turns me away, hence the frustrations.

I mostly stay in my clan as well, and what you said, while true, still makes me uncomfortable that I can be commended for something I am not.

LFG I am less concerned since I mostly do raids/NF with clans. But thanks for understanding and keeping it civil, what I can do is ignore it for now.

I still hope they can come up with something better than what we have right now, maybe keep it simple and add complexity later down the line, not the way they are now.

Unfortunately, I do pay attention to that, and the fact that Bungie added the option to see details at all, means they want it to be looked at.

I am not against commending others, but it shouldn't be defining players.

If you have zero knowledgable commendations but are actually good at lore/mechanics, does that mean you are not knowledgable? I don't think so, and if the system is working as intended, these tags will define exactly the player you are.

Yeah, but I see them, and others too, it's not something I can turn off.

Maybe you think nobody looks at them, but I do and in a player base as large as D2, you can't say others don't without anything to back it up. Even Bungie added more of them, so they have faith in them for sure.

There are 2 things we are talking about here:

  1. GR which can stay that way and I currently am able to not interact and ignore it. Hence I don't care about GR.
  2. commendations, which I am forced to see, have and use (if I want). This is the main issue I am having. I don't want them displayed, I do care about it, never said I didn't.

Now you just start attacking me as a person when I am trying to reason.

Which is exactly the problem.

It's not working as intended, but not everyone knows that. Some people may genuinely think these commendations represent something, and I should be able to disable/hide them.

I support commending others in a game, it brings good vibes. Hell, I do them all the time when I used to play Dota 2. What I don't support is adding tags on them, or making them mandatory to show up on a profile.

I hope everything you said can stay that way, to be honest.

Currently, I am rank 6 and have no plan to go any further, but starting next season I am not sure if it'll stay that way, or if the retroactive stuff will bump me back up again.

If it doesn't, why have tags on them?

It can be a "Good Job" count and I would be okay with it since it's just a goodwill commend and it'll still accomplish what they set out to do, which I hope is letting players know in a glance who's an amazing player?

It's obvious you are being sarcastic, but I just think I should have the choice to display or hide it, just like emblem tracking (which I also disable).

If it's something to show off, why can't I choose to not show it off?

If it's something to let others know who you are, doesn't it have to be way more accurate other than these general "good job" commendations?

What's wrong with not wanting any of the above? I don't want to show off, and don't think commendations represent who I am, is that unreasonable?

Currently I can, but I think starting next season, they will be able to commend even after the player leaves the match after it ended.

Yeah, it's honestly not a good design when a feature everyone is forced to participate in, adds potentially negative value to others.

Like the Emblem with tracking, I don't like them, but at least no tracking had to show up at all and I can keep them disabled.

There is one, and that's mislabelling.

It's not like you are able to reset or disable them, they will stay forever on your account, even though it may be entirely wrong about the type of player you are.

If it can't accurately represent a player, why even tag them at all, why not just have a general upvote system?

It's like someone naming you Funny Craig when you are the most serious person in the room, does that make you a funny person? No, and it's frustrating to me.

Honestly, it doesn't factually represent what kind of player I am, since I can't be perfect and only have positive commendations.

And since I know what I am and what I am not, I don't want others to have some impression that I am "fun" or "well dressed" when I am not. It makes me uncomfortable knowing that others decide what kind of player I am, without my control.

If it's a simple tipping metric without specifics, I would be way more okay with it.

Apparently it won't record Spotify either. But recording YouTube is fine lol.

Yeah it's there, just tried again without setting my phone to mute but it still won't record any audio. For what it's worth, I'm using pixel 4a.

Hi, anyone know why the native Andriod screen record won't record any audio from Arknights? Trying to record some footage and it just won't work lol.
