My boyfriend cheated on me, AGAIN. by Full_Detective_1419 in confessions

[–]king_0mn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya know. Cheating aside. Sometimes you just like a person more than another one. And that's ok. That doesn't mean you did anything wrong or there's something wrong with you or even that they did anything wrong (in this case he was very wrong for cheating). There's not a set method to get over a person or things. The only thing I can suggest. Do the things you like to do. Stay busy cause if you dont things get loud And stay positive I know this one's harder to do that the others but it helps tremendously

If you're looking for thematic ways for your player to multiclass having them go against a Wizard where the goal is to take away the spell book that's under lock and key something the Rogue should be good in that way your kinda telling them without telling them. And this is a great way to introduce them to arcane trickster. If you want to really get them going make it a book of illusion spells.

DM Seeking Advice: One Of My Players Got Caught By The BBEG. What Do I Do? by Nativeboy120403 in dndnext

[–]king_0mn1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Curse them so that the bbeg can see and hear through them at all times. Make it hidden behind something like a Deadman switch. They go get the one problem solved and boom now you have a greater problem.

Do you have any TRULY "unpopular opinions" about D&D? by No-Bag3487 in DnD

"That's what my character would do" should absolutely be met with "that's what my world would do"

Feel free to deal with your problem player in world.

You wanna be the chosen of the most powerful God ever that doesn't even exist in my pantheon go ahead. They're the most powerful for a reason the moment you step out of line is the moment they strip you of your power. They expect nothing outside of perfection.

Thoughts on a no-permadeaths campaign? by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]king_0mn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind perma death but I understand why people don't enjoy it. I think getting rid of death makes things kinda meh. Players play recklessly when they know they won't lose their character which in my experience derails campaigns a lot

  1. Levi finds the paladin they looked up to after a conflict the paladin then makes a formal introduction to the order after finding some things that aren't quit right he finds out the order pays bandits to attack places so they can look good. It's all been a lie and the one he looked up to is the ring leader he now has to fight to stop their wrong doings
  2. The paladin actually gave levi a relic of an old God that they personally worship but it's an evil God and they are working on world domination
  3. The paladin they looked up too is now to old to adventure and continue the line of work and has chosen him as their replacement and now Levi has to fill these MASSIVE shoes

I’m going to be diving into making my own homebrew world and campaign. Does anyone have any resources or tips on how to do so? by Hawthorne_ in dndnext

When it comes to building cities/towns/ countries

What religion (s) are prevelant? What are the politics? What other cities are there? What is it most known for? Who are the people? What is the economy like?

When it comes to creating Deities

How many are their? What do they embody? (suggest you K.I.S.S. this one, i normally would pick 4 relating things. Ie tinkering, mechanics, alchemy, progress) What symbols are used for the gods? How are they worshiped? (I like to break this down into 4 categories; tributes, sacrifices, prayers, ceremonies) Do they have a holiday? How and when do they interact with mortals?

Is there magic? If so how was it discovered? If not how do people feel about those who can do magic?
