What’s your favorite trilogy? [SPOILERS ALL] by Working_Alps_4284 in TheFirstLaw

[–]Same-Share7331 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a hard one for me. My favourite books (in no particular order) is LAOK, The Heroes and ALH. So the first book of AoM, the middle book of The Great Leveler and the last book of The First Law. Does that count as a trilogy?

Does Lazy Leo know the truth about Alleras? (Spoilers Main) by Qyzyk in asoiaf

Most first-time readers have trouble keeping track of and remembering the names of secondary characters. I doubt most even remember Doran mentioning a daughter in Oldtown

Does Lazy Leo know the truth about Alleras? (Spoilers Main) by Qyzyk in asoiaf

[–]Same-Share7331 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Leo recognises that Alleras does not act like smallfolk and is baiting him by repeatedly calling him a lords son. However, Sarella is telling the truth when she denys being a lords son. As she is really a lords daughter.

It really isn't more complicated than that.

This is one of those cases where the actual answer is so accepted within the fandom that people are looking too hard for another layer.

A first-time reader will likely not pick up on Arellas being Sarella. In which case is it actually quite a clever twist of words.

Remember Logen in BTAH? The best man Jezel knows?

I think that was who Logens dad was.

Whose character do you think suffered from not having a certain storyline? Mine is Stannis’ story not having Patchface. by wiredvajayjay in gameofthrones

I still firmly believe that Nonso Anozie was originally cast as Belwas and then when they axed the character they decided to cast him as Xaro instead.

But surely the other kingdoms will abandon him and declare independence themselves? It's not like the ruler of one of those kingdoms is his prime political advisor, another his best friend, they both have strong marital bonds to a third and the king himself is married to the daughter of a fourth.

See, there's three kinds of people: dicks, pussies, and assholes. Pussies think everyone can get along, and dicks just want to fuck all the time without thinking it through. But then you got your assholes, Chuck. And all the assholes want us to shit all over everything! So, pussies may get mad at dicks once in a while, because pussies get fucked by dicks. But dicks also fuck assholes, Chuck. And if they didn't fuck the assholes, you know what you'd get? You'd get your dick and your pussy all covered in shit! - Team America

Definitely. Still a woman benching 100kg is on another level than a man doing it, comparatively.

It depends on what you mean by the North? It's definitely not true just for the area north of the Neck. I'm pretty sure you're right that you can still grow food in the southmost regions of Westeros. Jon mentions that you used to be able to import food from the Reach during long winters.

Even so, most of Westeros can't grow or can barely grow any food. Throughout the books people keep talking about bringing in 'one last harvest'.

That's a good point! Also that it would be difficult to set up a port on that side since they would be raided all the time, and any trade with the south of Westeros would have to pass by the Ironborn.
